Northfields do the required exams on the '38 as it's the nearest tube stock depot.

Does anyone know of a good place to get a good overhead shot of the 1938 TS on it's move? Likewise to get a good shot of Sarah Siddons? I'm not too familiar with the areas but I would like to get some new angles other than the "inside the train" shot

Does anyone have any info as to which trains on the 14th will have Sarah leading, and which will have the 20?

Railway companies such as the MR and LNER painted 'teak' onto steel carriages

It looks quite nice- if a little odd! Most of the Metropolitan Railway coaches had the teak finish from new-this included the Ashbury, Dreadnought, Saloon and T stock built between 1898-1930! As an economy in WW2 the teak was painted dark brown (Red/Cream on the 90 Saloon Circle cars). This followed up some horrific colours on the dreadnoughts such as red and bright green!

Are there any other test runs planned? I'd love to get a chance to shoot them myself!

If you think about it you can work out the timings from the 'properties' section on my Flickr photos. Bear in mind the final SB trip will take longer if the train is 'turned' via Watford.

I'm not too familiar with the areas but I would like to get some new angles other than the "inside the train" shot If you mean on the 38TS stock transfer the bridge outside Acton Town station is good, and you can then use the Picc to get ahead of it at South Ealing or Northfields.

Reverses via Ruislip Sdg,passes Rayners WB 21:25. Pity it'll be too dark to record that move. Let's hope the Tuesday run to Northfields takes place as booked, and roll on Sunday week.

In the images you posted above, you captioned some of them [coming down the bank] as being from the depot - that's incorrect. The D stock to the right is on the depot road.........the batts & the 38ts are actually on the District/Picc track from Ealing Common station.

Thanks for the heads up. I am, obviously, quite unfamiliar with the layout of the area and it's quite deceptive as to what is coming from or going where when you are looking down off the bridge. I think I corrected the glaring ones you pointed out.
