If you are talking about St Mary's Curve from Ald East to the ELL. It will stay in situ, but have the traction current rails removed. Starnge you should say that - we were planning to plain line the points from the District, as you can't have a set secured out of use without scotching, clipping, plating, detecting and a daily inspection. And the detection is just another failure point! |

Yes, but it's good practice to plain line as you then don't need to tie someone up to do the daily inspection and it removes the still-functioning detection which is a failure point.

Will the extra A stock simply be made surplus for the Metropolitan; or will it be prematurely scrapped--given that the new S stock should debut in 2009?
