If you are talking about St Mary's Curve from Ald East to the ELL. It will stay in situ, but have the traction current rails removed. Starnge you should say that - we were planning to plain line the points from the District, as you can't have a set secured out of use without scotching, clipping, plating, detecting and a daily inspection. And the detection is just another failure point!

Yes, but it's good practice to plain line as you then don't need to tie someone up to do the daily inspection and it removes the still-functioning detection which is a failure point.

Will the extra A stock simply be made surplus for the Metropolitan; or will it be prematurely scrapped--given that the new S stock should debut in 2009?
