Well I'm really looking forward to this. I didn't get to go on the ELL tour and those seats are really soft.....especially when I got a chance to sit down at the Depot in Acton!

I plan to book for the 1430 trip and will buy three tickets in case my nephew is available. I will get the booking in ASAP of course - if he isn't coming, it will leave me with a spare.

As long as we get on one of the three trips that day I'll be happy. I've had it 'suggested' to me that angelislington might like a ticket for a birthday present.

Last time I was there, they wouldnae even let you step through the doorway! As if our shoes would soil the freshly varnished maple wood floor!

At the recent open day I rolled in, sat down, and nearly fell asleep! For low back seats the 38ts sure was comfy!

Certainly this year, one car was open for people to wander around and sit down in.

This and last year you were allowed to sit inside the 38TS stock. I did anyway!

Unfortunately the museum budget won't stretch to them buying us an auto announer to tell people to keep their feet off the seats.

I shall send off mine tomorrow. Surprisingly, I told my mum about this and she wanted to go too! And even thought of bringing my granddad along!

I sent my cheque off at least a week ago and have not had an email. That is unless my spam eater ate it. Do you still have the email? If so can you let me know who sent it and what was in the subject line so I can search my spam box please.

May I just mention here that my Boss has said that e mails have been held up for a considerable time in some cases as a result of a ship's anchor in the Far East cutting through a cable that is sued for internet traffic. Some mail may well disappear, even though it should not affect the UK! It is apparently affecting BT badly.

(I know this is now well off-topic) if anyone is interested in FLAG and undersea cables read www.wired.com/wired/archive/4.12/ffglass.htmlIt is an article called 'Mother Earth Mother Board'; long, worksafe and quite interesting I don't know why I got an acknowledgment - perhaps because I mentioned that it was a birthday present for angelislington.
