Well done also to KX station staff, many of whom came down to watch the train reverse, who had a sensible attitude to photography and even made a special PA telling passengers that the train was 70 years' old! Unlike the staff at Clapham Common this afternoon who descended on mass to stop a small group of photographers at the far end of the platform from taking photos.

As one of said people at Clapham Common - that SS was one of the most misinformed fools I have ever met.

Just had dinner after the 1430 run! Great day (yet also tiring, particularly coming from Tufnell Park!) and will post videos on YouTube soon

Well, I was on the 1430 run. I always rode in the leading DM, should the driver open his J door. Not the case on the way up to Barnet, but there was an opportunity to make a driver's eye view video on the way back... Great day! Thanks to everyone involved! In case anyone may have seen me, I was the one wearing the t-shirt with the giant underground logo on it.

This must also have caused disruption to 'normal' passengers because whilst we were queuing, a couple of '95 stocks came and went from that platform! I also received an oyster card pen, Northern Line pencil and a special '38 stock pencil holder! ;D ;D ;D

I came down from the canteen to see the train in the platform, and then go towards the depot - it was probably about 1.30pm? I hope to be able to go on the trip myself next year.

Then you didn't see me, at that time I was waiting at Elephant and Castle for 13 mins for a Northern Line train going all the way to Morden!

If you passed through Clapham North at between 1045 and 1110, then there is a good chance I may have caught you on camera.

It was the plank with the camcorder and tripod who caused the problems for us at Clapham Common.

I was on the 1430 in the black and jeans with my camera in one hand and either my water or ticket in the other, although I don't think my sister enjoyed the day as much as I did! ;D

If you saw someone on the 1430 on the way back in coach 'D', wearing a white t-shirt with the underground logo on, strap-hanging with their left hand and holding the camera with their right, between High Barnet and Woodside Park, and between Finchley Central and Archway, then you saw me!

As one of said people at Clapham Common - that SS was one of the most misinformed fools I have ever met. Like "we're running a special train" but nobody's allowed to photograph it. I would put in an official complaint providing you genuinely believe that no-one gave the SS an excuse for his/her actions.

And some more pics. West Finchley. www.flickr.com/gp/27565507@N06/8p8547Most of the likely characters at the far end of the station are from the board I suspect... After all those suffering from over-zealous staff, it is nice to report that the chap at West Finchley was relaxed, chatty, helpful and generally a pleasure to meet. (The signal shot relates to my thread a few days ago about the unusual location of the signal)

Nice shots of the 38ts, along with A204!
