I think the wires have become slightly crossed - the rumour is that the new platform will be built facing the existing bay road, but opposite to the existing bay platform (i.e. there will be two platform faces). I don't understand what you are saying here - any chance of a diagram?

As prjb has said MR havent made their minds up yet.
Cant draw the diagram things but does this help....?
Current Northbound/ Down Main Line - Platform 1 - No Change Current Southbound/ Up Main Line - Platform 2 - No Change Current Bay Road for Chesham Single - Platform 3 - To Close New Platform 3 On the opposite side of the Bay Road tracks (so in the car park) to be built to 8 Cars of S Stock (a bit like a double sided platform.....

I know that Metronet were asked last year to look at installing a driver's platform similar to the halt at Stratford but nothing came of it.

Whilst I am led to believe that MRSSL are looking at various possibilities, no firm decision has been made on this subject. I just posted on what i read at work.
