Also the Piccadilly line through Ealing Com and onwards to Uxbridge now has a gap between the District and Metropolitan lines respectively. This set up harks back to a layout last seen in the early 2000's.
It also appears that someone has taken a mallet to the Victoria line between King's X and Highbury aswell as the GOBLIN being pitched more steeply through Zone 3.

The 'gap' introduced between lines sharing tracks is annoyingly inconsistent and unnecessary. Its not between SSR lines that share tracks, but only between Overground and anything, and deep level lines with SSR. Apart from Stratford, where there are severe space constraints so the final kink is with the DLR, and Ealing Broadway, which has always been shown like that - even last time things were separated. If anything Ealing is the place that most deserves separation, as the platforms arent shared, the lines aren't physically connected, and the only way to transfer is to walk to the far end of both.
I don't see the practical point beyond a poorly implemented in-joke. But then again, most of whats wrong with the diagram is by now so long-standing its created a cottage industry in how to improve it.
The Vic line elbow is odd. Has Crystal Palace received an additional kink?

Ben , This could just be a coincidence but could it be that the gaps between lines are for those that share the same platforms but have rolling stocks of different floor heights.

Has Crystal Palace received an additional kink? The Crystal Palace branch is straight on the December 2018 digital tube map (and on the March 2019 version that is current on the TfL website*), but has been kinked on the printed versions since June 2016. *I didn't know about this version until now. I'll do a comparison with December 2018 tomorrow or Monday when I get time

I hate this map and the crazy walking routes between stations. Personal favourites of mine are not on the map such as Regents Park-Great Portland Street, Euston Square-Warren Street and Marylebone-Baker Street! In general they make the map look cluttered! Rant over ๐

Rant over ๐ I seem to recall it was deliberate to not show walking routes in Zone 1 as in general they are all closer together than the criteria for appearing on the map and there are many more interchanges anyway. (What would be the point, for example of showing Bank/Cannon Street when interchange is available at Monument anyway?)

For those of you yearning to get your hands on a map so thin you can actually see the tube map without even opening it (not that it makes it any more legible), Aldgate has them stocked already. Iโm told that Liverpool Street, Farringdon, Tower Hill and Aldgate East are due soon. Hatton Cross on Friday afternoon was where i obtained them in racks.

Yes, but with direct interchange at Cannon Street just one stop away it's not worth the effort significantly redesigning the map in that area to add.

Differences between December and March digital tube maps: Newly step-free to platform: Maryland Forest Gate Manor Park Seven Kings Newly step-free to train: Finsbury Park - the interchange is now shown as a few pixels longer so the Victoria line Highbury and Seven Sisters has moved down and right by a consequent amount. It took me a while to realise you meant Canonbury, I was so confused! The map informs you that there are National Rail services at both New Cross and New Cross Gate in the same way it informs you there are National Rail services at Victoria for example (it just doesn't detail what they are).

Why would any map user want to walk between New Cross and New Cross Gate as you can only catch an Overground train back to where you just came from, or a National Rail train whose existence the map doesn't inform you of? Perhaps so that they know they can just walk from one to another without waiting for the next train? There's only 4 trains an hour to New Cross, so if you just missed one - it might be quicker to get to New Cross Gate and walk from there.
