Latest financial problems means CLIP has been slowed and will take longer to complete whole fleet. Okay. Do you have any idea when the first new train will be out in service. Or if there will be any photos on here in the meantime of what the refurbished trains will look like?

With a project of this scale the times to complete the first couple of trains will generally be a bit longer than the projected 40 day beat rate for full production, as always there are processes to be done and in what order would meet the optimal output rate, I would expect from experience to estimate the first train to take about 3-4 months to complete, maybe a little longer if there is still some scope creep in the project.

Okay so still a little while then. It’s good that the project is restarting though. Been looking forward to seeing the refurbished trains.

I know this is probably at the bottom of the priority list, but are the 92s likely to see a moquette retrim in this programme, and if so would they keep the standard Barman pattern or perhaps get a red version which is more harmonious with the interior? Incredible to think it's been a decade since Barman was rolled out.

Incredible to think it's been a decade since Barman was rolled out. You have to be careful when changing elements of interiors. There has to be a good contrast between poles and handrails and the seat coverings/rest of the interior. Poles and handrails are powder coated which needs to be removed before applying the new colour (or using an expensive alternative coating on the existing treatment).

With the new PiS, will there be a new person who does the Central line? Maybe Sarah Parnell will completely replace Emma Clarke?

Handrails and poles have to be a contrasting colour to assist the visually handicapped..

Any pics or vids of the refurbishment works on the trains? And how many trains are currently going through the refurbishment process currently?

Are any trains undergoing visible changes in Acton Works yet?

Not seen anything myself although it wouldn’t surprise me if the doors appeared with yellow/black chevrons (like the 1996 stock) and a break in the blue skirt just before the door leaves to aid visibility (not saying it might happen, but it might!).

It seems the W&C Line are the first to get wheelchair spaces One way journeys to Bank with strong helpers who can walk backwards to stop the wheelchair running away on the steep ramps The lift on the arrivals platform at Waterloo is deemed unsuitable for wheelchairs. Signing only shows pushchairs.

I heard that the end of the year would be when the first refurbished train would be completed and in service. It’s getting towards the end of the year now. Still nothing 😂😂

Much like everything else, it will be delayed a lot longer no doubt to the point everyone will forget about it until the train suddenly appears in service. 😂

Does anybody know how different the DTS replacement will be? Will the monitor appear the same with the messages bullet pointed like ATP Available?

I wonder what the PiS boards will look like. As said up thread they will cover the top (probably quarter) of the existing large window space.

Is the project really going ahead or has the whole thing secretly been scrapped for now?
I hope the first refurbished train will be around soon. I’m looking forward to seeing them about.

Is the project really going ahead or has the whole thing secretly been scrapped for now? The project is definitely going ahead, as shown in the posts above detailing the movements just after they happen. With 4x 2-car units at Ruislip, 4x 2-car units at Asfordby Test Track and 4x 2-car units in Acton Works it certainly isn't on hold.

Okay that’s good. Will there be photos posted of any external or internal changes appearance-wise, such as new doors, or new poles and seats on the inside!
