I'm yet to ride on an aventra but I've got barely any time free so does it do the 10:35 every day, every week day, was it a one off or does it do loads more services now that it has finally entered service Currently it is timed to run as a Short Term Additional Service (STP) from the time you mentioned from Platform 15 at Liverpool Street to Shenfield and back Mondays to Fridays only. Todays run was cancelled due to complications with the traction equipment. It is for events such as these why the service is currently running as a spare/supplement until enough units pass initial testing and begin to form part of the long term timetable once any issues with reliability have been remedied.

Monday - Friday 10:35 Liverpool Street (P15) to Shenfield (P5) 11:39 Shenfield (P5) to Liverpool Street (P15) 12:35 Liverpool Street (P15) to Gidea Park (P4) 14:19 Gidea Park (P3) to Liverpool Street (P15) Saturday: 11:56 Liverpool Street (P18) to Shenfield (P5) 13:05 Shenfield (P5) to Liverpool Street (P18)

It looks a little busy. I think the approach used on the actual trains for giving the destination is better (indicating a break in the line of stations and then the terminal station at the end). I would also question the usefulness of the carriage number - there is no splitting or joining, so any SDO announcements are best done in the S stock style. I can see the reasoning behind using the actual crossrail line type on the display, but it also doesn't help with regards to it looking busy

Carriage numbers are useful when reporting incidents or issues with the train.

Carriage numbers are useful when reporting incidents or issues with the train. ...and short platforms as well. Nothing wrong with discovering what carriage one is in.

Remember the recent temporary closure London Overground route 2? (Gospel Oak <-> Barking). That same dotted line thing was used in the Tube Map!

006 ran on the usual public trip this morning but then ran to Shenfield again after arrival at Liverpool Street.

I travelled on a 345 today from Stratford to Liverpool Street. What a lovely 'brand new' smell!
Could do with a door open button in the centre on one of the doors: having door open buttons on either side can be awkward when people are standing over them on a busy train.

They're working to resolve a few issues which prevent running in the dark.
Looks like peak hour running coming soon.

What issues could prevent running in the dark? Cameras? Headlights?

Does anyone know how long it takes for an extra service (eg the class 345s runs) to turn up on realtimetrains?

Of course the real test for these will be running in the peak crammed to the Sally Gunnells...
(Yes, I know it's gunwales...)

Can't be long now until they are allowed out in the peak.

It didn't seem this long a wait for the cl700s on Thameslink, perhaps as a Siemens product with access to the Velim test-tracks they came with a more robust warranty?

There are a few station issues to be resolved before the trains can run in all day service. Different trains are being used for the trips that are currently operating.

345 008 has been stabled in the sidings at Ilford this week, meaning that up to 4 units have now been delivered 😉

I don't think it's time dependent as such (although I heard whisperings about the cameras, which would make running one in place of a 315 more difficult) so much as they don't want one to sit down in the middle of the peaks.

The count is 4 units at least now; I've seen at least three in the Ilford sidings.

Apparently now running in peak hour service.
Travelling to Seven Kings from Stratford. Left at 1507 so covering a regular train slot.

I noticed on the screen at Ilford this morning it showed a train to Liverpool Street with 'Formed of 7 coaches' underneath, I can only assume it was a CL345.
