Diagrams 3 and 55 have held. Gave 2 workings in Upminster simultaneously, so chance to swap turns.

7012/7095 were taken out of service on train 007 at Barons Court EB with a door fault. They have run empty to High St Ken after discharging the passengers. UPDATE: At just after 13.00 7012/7095 ran empty to ECMDT. Operator couldn't get any of the doors to open and had to use the porter buttons to enable the passengers to leave the train. Still parked up there at ECM when I went past at 1820. Doesn't look good, although maybe only one of the two units is affected?

maybe only one of the two units is affected? Although one single-ended unit is not much use without another to couple to. Maybe it will be kept on standby in case another unit (half train) gives up.

Regarding the train with door trouble it my just be a fuse needs replacing (50A Door and Auxiliary if memory is correct) That would give a whole host of indications & problems, so I can't see it being that. Anyway, 7032 & 7007 form this morning's set 101 out of Upminster...

With just two units left, what are the chances of either running this weekend, and are details on specific diagrams likely to be available in advance?

Holiday weekend workings will not be available in advance, as usual we will try to post as early as possible, when available. Engineering works means no service Aldgate East-West Ham Friday-Monday.

T101 PM is an S7. Does anyone know if Upminster are sending out the D stock on any of the pm starters?

7012 + 7095 listed as De-commissioning this morning. What exactly is meant by "de-commissioning" (as distinct from "withdrawal from service")? Is it stripping out serviceable or reusable/recycleable parts or materials? (Would not have thought there's anything of any use once the D Stocks have gone…).

I would suggest decommissioning in the sense of D stock means moving the train over to the museum sidings and then splitting the train up ready for loading onto lorries.
Anyway, today's D's out of Upminster are:
T12 - 7526 + 7037 T21 - 7032 + 7007

After withdrawal from service work is usually undertaken on the train to be dispatched for about 3-4 days before actual movement into the Museum. This involves removing all the equipment box covers and tinkering with the components.

We haven't heard much about Vivarail lately - do you know if these final withdrawals are going there, or for scrap?

I believe they are still taking all the DM Driving Motor cars (except 7027, 7036 and one to be kept by LT Museum (currently 7508) they haven't had any UNDM Uncoupling Non-Driving Motor cars and in recent times haven't taken any T trailer cars.

Barring any reforms, there will be no D stock stabled in Upminster depot tonight. T12 and T55 both scheduled to stable at Ealing Common. I'm assuming the one active train at E Comm (yesterday's T67) isn't coming out to play today.

T12 stables around half 8 tonight and T55 0020 Indeed. T12 would have been a far better working for the last day, rather than T4 which stables ridiculously early! 12 also visits Wimbledon, which 4 does not.

Would be nice if 7007 had the Olympic rings reinstated for the finalities.
