All is going wonderfully, with several forum members just enjoying a light libation in the pub down the road from the station. Its a lovely day for it, and the train ride too.

Was going to go out and take a look today, but doh I forgot it was this weekend... I could still get to the Hammersmith stretch but that's not so interesting for me being on line...

This is why I didn't proceed further to Northfields.

I hope everyone involved enjoyed the day. I managed a couple of photos at Moor Park. I was hoping to see it at Uxbridge station but it was back out before my train came in.

Was the destination blind specially made for the occasion or do 'C' Stock have all the destinations used. I noticed Amersham, Uxbridge, Northfields and Upminster used - no doubt there were others.

LU move customers from A to B, they used to do it via 'C'.

The blind was specially made for the day. Some of the fonts used were from much older versions or other stocks!

As far as I know, only two copies exist and were fitted en-route to Moorgate... my images show this taking place on 5596. BTW well done and many thanks to the Underground and LT Museum staff on duty today for your efforts in making the tour so enjoyable !!

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who attended, or participated in today's tour. We made £6500 for The Railway Children charity, which is amazing!

Excellent and very well organized covering nearly all the SS network, loved the old style blinds

As far as I know, only two copies exist and were fitted en-route to Moorgate... my images show this taking place on 5596. Only 2 sets were made, printed first onto sheets of A0, then they had to be cut down to size, taped together to form the whole blind and then (painfully) installed into the boxes, which took several goes, and as we ran out of time in the depot (due to a whole host of things happening), they had to be carefully adjusted and wound on, being completely paper with no tyvek/plastic backing as reinforcement. A bit difficult once the train was moving – and somewhere between Hammersmith and Latimer Road we *finally* managed to get the headboard at the 5727 end stuck on enough to stay on! Upon the return to Hammersmith Depot, and having to put the blinds back to what they were, the state of the one in 5727 was chewed to bits in the end once the chaps had managed to detach it. But I have to say, and I think we're all in agreement here (and there are far better pictures than mine that show it – Acton Town looked quite lovely on it), they did make the train look the part: (As an aside... the dodgy headlight! It was noticed when the train was first put through the wash at Hammersmith, then when it went through the wash the second time around it was all cool beans again, so goodness knows what had happened between then and Northfields! Jammy thing... but hey – you all got an "authentic" look!)

Morning all!
I'd just like to echo the thoughts already posted - what a fantastic day; I thoroughly enjoyed it (and am delighted that such a significant figure was raised for the charity) - good to put a few more faces to names too! My being the doorstop for the J Door on the EB District line run suggests that I may have found my true calling in life...
The worst part of the day for me was the trek home, on account of the numerous football fans also using the northbound M1 - I'd parked at Stanmore and didn't even attempt to try and leave the car park until just after 8 PM - nothing was moving! As it was, I didn't reach London Road until around 8:20, and finally arrived home at 11:15...having been awake since 4 AM, I was a little weary by the end! (Memo to self: for future tours, check ALL sporting features before deciding on a suitable car park!)
My own pictures and video will follow soon (assuming that at least some are usable!) - I'll take a look at what's been posted so far and see if I make many appearances - apologies if I ruined your shot as a result!

I also was very impressed with yesterday's tour. After disappointingly missing the 1967TS tour 3 years back, this was the first tube tour that I have done that appealed to me and I was very impressed. The train looked the part, especially with the blinds, which as far as I'm concerned are a masterpiece! Would just like to say a big thank you to the planners, stewards, tfl and London Transport Museum for a brilliant trip.

I was out and about, but on the way home I just managed to catch it at harrow on the hill(from the car park). In a rush to get a picture, I went around to the bridge to then remember it was heading the other way. I ended up getting a nice video on my phone then noticed the acton town.

My video of the train at Harrow on the Hill, Chorleywood, Ruislip, Sudbury Town, South Ealing and Dagenham East: Nice videos you have there. Makes me almost sad that I was ON the train, unable to enjoy it whizzing by! Also loving Chris W's pictures. I'm very jealous of the camera you have! The photos are brilliant. Thanks to all who made it such a great day yesterday. Was good to meet a few "new faces".. (even though it turns out you've been on here all the time!) just a shame you guys don't live close enough to London to be able to meet up more often! I've got some general video footage as well as a number of photos which I'll pop onto Facebook soon. If there's someone who wants to compile a video using my footage, please feel free to get in touch with me, as it'll save me time putting it together (in a rather rubbish way, anyway!) Vinnie, Car F.

I've uploaded a compilation of the video clips I took on the day onto YouTube.
I don't know if it's a schoolboy error on my part or if it's just that Premiere Elements is a useless piece of software... but the resolution has turned out at 480p, despite my shooting at 720p. (Turns out you have to define the resolution from the outset, otherwise the alternative is to start the project ALL OVER AGAIN just to make the correction). Ah, well.
Enjoy. Photos still to come.

Excellent footage there - you have to love the visibly annoyed passenger at KXSP who can't understand why the train passed through without allowing anyone to board! I'd forgotten about the 'waving' game involving that '73 Stock...goodness knows what the people on board thought was happening!
That chap in the yellow T-Shirt looks familiar...I see that he also appears in one of Chris W's pictures, complete with regulation Butlins-spec legs on show..!

Haha! Nice spot of the annoyed passenger! I didn't catch that until you pointed it out.
I thought the 'waving' game at the southern arc of the Circle line stations were a lot more funny.. you had some genuinely puzzled people there with some hilarious face-pulling/screwing involved.
At this point I should also point out an error in the captions. The clip at 1407 wasn't quite on the District line just yet. I think it was somewhere between South Ealing and Acton Town.

Very nice - I hadn't realised that the two "C Stock: 1970 - 2014" destination blind options were not quite the same...then again, I didn't venture to the other end of the train (wish I had done now as I wanted to picture a C77 tread plate!). I have now uploaded my own material from the day; details at: streetlightonline.co.uk/Tube/CStockExplorer/index.htm

Thanks for your uploads, tubelightonline. I particularly enjoyed reliving the Westminster moment in video #12! (Oh.. to feel like a kid again!) Really glad you managed to capture that one. It also jogged my memory of meeting Mr "Oh, don't mind me, I'm just playing on my phone and have no intention of boarding your train even though I'm standing right in front of the doors" at Earl's Court.
Thanks, bluegoblin7. I see you managed to snap the elusive roundel at Upminster station!
