Do we know what form this train shall take? It would be wonderful to see an A60 take charge (after all they did have strong heaters).

Oh right, didn't see that bit. I'm one punter who shall not be attending at this event, then.

Info from LTM Ticket page ticket.ltmuseum.co.uk/peo/show_events_list.asp Click 'All Events' on the left hand side and go to the bottom of the page. Uxbridge Steam Run - 4 trains (11:50, 12:50, 13:50 & 14:50). Tickets cost £15 to travel in the 4TC or £25 to travel in carriage 353.

Would I be correct to assume there will be a need for carriage stewards? If so, does anyone know when people who are "in the pool" will be contacted?

I'd love to know what 'SOTM' means, but it seems that the search function is broken at the moment, just returning: "Oops, there was an error! Could not connect to search server. Please try again."
The only thing Google turns up (apart from some weird Aussie dancers) is 'State Of The Map", which does not seem to fit with the context.

Just sent in my availability for stewarding these trips. If it's anything like the last steam trip, there will be far more of us than LU actually need!

Been trying to book this all week. Online booking is permanently unavailable, museum phone staff couldn't access the computer system on Monday, now even the phone line is not operating. This really is a total shambles. I have now sent an email but don't hold out much hope

I phoned yesterday morning and was told the system would be back in an hour (which it wasn't). After tweeting the LTM today, they've advised that they plan to have the system back up and running by Monday.

Well, they actually rang me back after my email and booked it for the 10.50 run. The special car was fully booked, I knew that from talking to them last Monday.

Managed to book my tickets by phone earlier and the online system is now back.
Tickets in 353 all sold out but plenty of space in the 4-TC for all runs.

Nice photo with Andy B in white wooly hat in the cab of Met 1 . I can't help but feel that a 100 year old loco doesn't look right being driven by a driver wearing a white wooly hat and hi viz jacket!

I went for a ride today Uxbridge-HotH hoping the trial train might run again but it didn't. At least it was a chance to recce the line for Sunday and get a few shots of stations and nameboards etc without too many people milling around. You know the kind of thing, small hand-held camera, no tripod, no flash, nowhere near platform edge, no getting in the way of other people, non-commercial fliming.
All well and good until I got to Rayners Lane approx 11am. A voice comes over the tannoy something along the lines of "Please be aware that photogrphy is not allowed on this station without permission from Head Office or the station supervisor"
As I was on a bit of a schedule I couldn't be bothered to take time to seek out the supervisor and moved on elsewhere along the line.
One wonders if this 'gentleman' will be on shift this coming Sunday in which case: a/ Will he lose his voice with constant repetition? b/ Get lynched first?

Anyone else had an email or anything yet to say if they're needed for stewarding? Nothing here yet to say yes or no, and getting a bit worried considering it's now Wednesday!

I too am waiting for details, as I was down to steward on 353 but have not yet been given details.

Six runs each an hour apart is surely tight for water and coaling. Is more than one loco being used and if so where is the changeover? I presume platform 6 at Harrow-on-the-Hill will be used to reverse there. The first and last workings no doubt come from and return to Neasden. Is that correct?

Can't answer that question yet, but I'm guessing it's more likely to be Neasden than Ruislip. It may be of course that if it's Neasden, they want stewards on at Wembley Park, ready for getting the public on at Harrow on the Hill, but as I said earlier, not having had sight of any form of briefing sheet yet, I don't know for definite.
