C stocks seem to have resumed visiting Upminster for the Wheel lathe - dunno how much of an update I or my colleagues can offer, but I can say that 5583-5575-5734 are spending the night there tonight.

Thanks for the update, as thus we can now presume that 5532 is getting taken away in the next few weeks as 5575 was the other Hammersmith victim, and it would seem that it has been repaired.

It has not been repaired. The damaged cab and car sides are still present, but it's not so horrific the train can't be moved in the middle of the set to Upminster. Even though it is no longer suitable for general passenger service use. My understanding is that the outer units are at Upminster for wheel lathe turning, where as the 5575 - 6575 unit is for literal turning, it will return to Hammersmith to end up the other way around, so that it can be coupled to 5532 - 6532 and then, in due course, operate to Northwood for scrapping with the required cab at each end to get it there. |

Am I mistaken or was 5575 in Farringdon sliding this afternoon? I hope not ;D We had several trains visit Farringdon sidings today, but hopefully we weren't that short of stock. As has already been said, the 2 outer units were at Upminster for wheel turning with the middle - 5575 - being turned on it's return (going via the District to Edgware Road). No date has been given to its return, and the plan is still to have 5575 end up at Northwood at a later date. Discussions are ongoing as to whether this will be as a 4 or 6 car, but having turned it, I believe the possibility will then exist to have it as the rear 2 cars (once in Northwood) of a 6-car train. Said discussion are still to confirm whether just the 2 damaged ones will be scrapped (leaving a 4-car to make its way back) or if the whole train will be taken. |

Since i started noting these on 06/01/13 i have seen all the units left other than 5509, 5510, 5525 and 5595.
I know i won't see 5595, and see that 5525 was in service on 13/01, but 5509 and 5510 have not been reported since 05/11/12. Does anyone know if these two are still serviceable please?
