Was there ever a station closed message on the 92s and if so what was it? Or has it always just been msg 001This train will not stop at the next station?
Furthermore besides there is no central line service beteen epping and ongar msg 002; where there any other messages that were removed?
Am I correct in assuming that msg numbers 033, 035 and 34 were only added when the dva was changed in 2006?

Isn't Ongar still selectable as a destination? Either on the Central line stock or the W&C stock...!

You can get Ongar on the destination dot matrix on the Central but I've never checked to see if the PA announcement goes with it. There's something I will have to try out one night when it's quiet...........

If I were you I'd do it during the Olympics.."This is Epping. Please mind the gap between the train and the platform. This is a Central Line train to Ongar." Furthermore besides there is no central line service beteen epping and ongar msg 002; where there any other messages that were removed? Was this something along the lines of "Passengers are reminded that the Central Line no longer operates between Epping and Ongar." ?

There's something I will have to try out one night when it's quiet........... I can tell you with 100% certainty that nothing happens. It used to say Ongarrrrrrr but it has recently been removed. The destination display will still show ongar however... Now then back to my question!

You're right, silly me, I have even seen them now! You say now... were they proper DMIs before? And thanks to aslefshrugged and ad1992 for the Ongar clarification

As far as I know, they were, but got removed from the W&C units and moved to Central line units when the latter broke... and then when all the DMIs were changed to a new type, only the Central line units got them, while the W&C units got the permanent text they have now.

In the form of pieces of card in place of the DMI that show 'Bank' or 'Waterloo'.. I'd never noticed that! They certainly had DMIs when new - the photo of a new 8-car set under test at Leyton in Brian Hardy's book has it displaying "Not in Service"! Incidentally, that 8-car formation demonstrates that the DMs could be coupled in normal use when the sets were new. Does this facility still exist on the W&C? I cannot imagine any circumstance where it could be used.

Is there anyone qualified to actually answer this question or is thread going to continue to be interrupted by idiots that continually change the subject?

Is there anyone qualified to actually answer this question or is thread going to continue to be interrupted by idiots that continually change the subject? I don't think that sort of tone is required on this family forum. Did you think maybe no one has the information that you require?

Was there ever a station closed message on the 92s and if so what was it? When Shepherd's Bush station was closed for a while, the announcement usually played at White City would be "please note that this train will not stop at the next station." According to this thread, the announcements were actually changed in 2003. Is there anyone qualified to actually answer this question or is thread going to continue to be interrupted by idiots that continually change the subject? I don't think that sort of tone is required on this family forum. Did you think maybe no one has the information that you require? Hear, hear!

Is there anyone qualified to actually answer this question or is thread going to continue to be interrupted by idiots that continually change the subject? The thread has evolved into an interesting discussion, sparked off by your question, for which many thanks.
However, there is no place for such rudeness on this forum, especially as one of the contributors to this thread that you have called an idiot is actually a current Central Line T/Op!I presume you are asking in connection with some form of BVE modelling, is that so?

Can you not show South Woodford then, even though you can terminate there? And what are 28 and 77, they can't both be Liverpool Street

I read "LST" as "Liverpool Street" at first until I saw "LIV" and realised it must be Leytonstone, although I thought that was "LES"?

For signalling purposes it is, but then again all the signalling codes are three letters - auxy's list doesn't conform strictly to three letters....

No that's played automtically, or triggered manually. The announcement I am referring to was said to of been removed.
I think my response was quite appropriate, considering people are still changing the sodding subject! I know that one of the people on this forum is a driver, and he was one of the first people to change the subject. If people don't know fair enough but it's disrespectful to completely ignore someone and instead start talking about something completely different; and my comment was inappropriate?! I suppose that also means manners on this forum are as well!
Yes it is to do with bve.

Sometimes the thread subject evolves as do natural conversations, so long as it is with the spirit of the OP, in most cases, we will permit this. However to take the tone you have towards other members is unacceptable. Any further posts in this manner will have you referred to the admins for further action.

There have only been 2 people in the entire thread that stuck to the subject at hand, and i'm sorry but I certainly don't see it as a subject evolving! It was a point blank change of subject but if you want to carry on blaming me for making a valid point then I can see why you're a moderator.
I suggest you lock this thread now the topic has evolved beyond my original question and now has no relevance.

And what are 28 and 77, they can't both be Liverpool Street There are so many that some slip the mind. 082 is, I think South WDF and one that I completely forgot is 050 - WDFvH. 050 was added on as I recall as there were issues with it regarding the DVA, now resolved. THIS TRAIN WILL NOT STOP AT THE NEXT STATION used to sound when the next station was to be ATO skipped or manually driven through. A command to the DVA would be uploaded from the PAC. I can't say I've heard it of late. But then again I block that sonic spam outa my head anyway. I think it can be sent manually from the driver's DVA keypad, but I can't recall the code as I never use it. It's easier to get on the blower and tell em yourself and score brownie points from Miss Tree Chopper................
