Used to sound? Unless lu have changed the software the dva will still automatically trigger when the station skip is in operation.

I suggest you lock this thread now the topic has evolved beyond my original question and now has no relevance. ADMIN COMMENT: sorry, you are totally wrong my friend. The question you asked in the thread title has not only been answered but far more than answered and you should be truly grateful. There are not many forums where you can ask professionals (T/ops in this case) and get back direct complete answers within hours.
And as for thread drift? Impossible because you made the title so vague - our Central drivers could have told you anything and still answered the question as per thread title.
Despite that, and your complaints, your question has been answered more than once by our professionals - the fact that there is no record of the relevant DVA does not seem to have struck you yet.......
.......And after you demanded we lock it you have still made TWO more contributions so it can't be that uninteresting to you.I suspect there's more good stuff still to come here, so carry on folks: I for one am enjoying it and am learning .

Used to sound? Unless lu have changed the software the dva will still automatically trigger when the station skip is in operation. The software for many things on those trains is in a constant state of being updated/changed/fiddled with. The DTS especially. When a station skip is implemented there should be a DVA message - PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS TRAIN WILL NOT STOP AT THE NEXT STATION. This does not always happen as the PAC doesn't upload the command or the PA is overriding the DVA. In most cases the only indication that a skip has been put in is either a radio message from Control or an alarm that sounds once the train has long departed the previous station.

No it hasn't and to repeat the question, I asked if a station closed message existed before the dva was changedover to Emma Clarke. I still haven't recieved an answer to this, all that happened was someone mentioned code 001 this train will not stop at the next station. I already know this so like I said my question hasn't been answered.
Let me try going in to more detail:
The 92 stock manual announcemements consist of the following 001 Please note that this train will not stop at the next station 002 There is no central line service between epping and ongar (now changed to part of the central line is closed this weekend. 003 There is no central line service between Woodford and Hainault 004 There is no central line service between Hainault and Woodford
Now presumably when the trains first entered service , no smoking and thankyou for travelling on the central line were codes 005 and 006; prior to the current code 031 and 032. At least this is my theory; but were changed to include newer messages such as please leave the train, and please ensure you have all your belongings with you. As mentioned the 92 stock has been modified so many times with countless software updates, but surely originally the manual messages were 001 to 006/7? Were there any other messages that were removed in the past?
Lul also make reference to a closed station message that was removed, now my question was did there used to be a next station is closed message in the original central line announcements, or has it always ever been this train will not stop at the next station; even in the original dva's?

"Idiots" Young man, I'd say you need to apologise for your insulting remark towards members of this forum.

Gosh, why so angry? I like to think of this place as a group of people sat around a table in a public house; often people at one end of the table go off on their own discussing something of no relevance to people at the other end of the table. Sometime you can ask a question and someone will give you their answer, someone else will chip in, then about an hour later you realise you still aren't sure that you've found out what you wanted to know!

Not really angry rincew1nd, it's just rather sad that somebody comes up with "idiots" to describe other forum members when they patently aren't. Not very clever is it? Edit: And I doubt they'd say the same thing across a table in pub either. Keyboard warriors...............

My apologies, my comments were not a response to those of whistlekiller. I composed a post, hit "Post Reply" before I'd finished so a hurried copy, delete, paste ensued. On top of which I'm trying to clean my bathroom before my Landlord visits on Thursday to assess how much deposit I'm getting back, so, for the avoidance of doubt: My post was a general comment on the nature of the Forum, aimed at those who seem to be struggling with our "Corporate Ethos". That said, I don't disagree with what whistlekiller said in his 11:07pm post. And my most humble apologetic apoproliferations; I appear to be guilty of thread drift. With a wave of my wand, 92ts announcements: Nope, I know nothing. I think I'll go to the other end of the table and play my new Eurovision CD to Ceiling Cat. You know, France isn't that bad this year..... Englebert Humperdinck!

Was there ever a station closed message on the 92s and if so what was it? Or has it always just been msg 001This train will not stop at the next station? I worked on the Central line up to 1995 and from introduction until then there was no station closed message, drivers used to have to make a manual announcement and follow it with 001.

I am going to keep quiet on this post but at least I don't feel as bad as other users are getting a telling off! Thread drift does happen on forums its quite easy to talk about something else and make it an issue Two things to cheer you up: First, in this case there was no thread drift. The OP was so vaguely worded thaat almost any answer could have been given. All the later posts were well within the topic of the orginal. Second, on this forum we have some pretty efficient mods. They watch, and if a thread drifts into something else interesting they pretty rapidly split it off and start a new thread leaving the old one to continue. Only if a thread drifts into something irrelevant to LU, or people start sniping at each other, do the mods step in to sort things out.
