I hope the additional one is 5056 (for Metman's sake). It won't be 5056

I know someone hinted at 5062, but you never know metman. You commented on one of the trailers of 5056 getting a different compressor. Now I hate coining the phrase "stands to reason," but stands to reason that it should be given another HO.

I hope the additional one is 5056 (for Metman's sake). It won't be 5056 Metman, I know I previously said 5062 will be preserved but remember, that was a rumour I heard. So be positive and hopefully 5056 will be preserved. Or another way would be you or me winning the lottery. So keep positive...

Both units currently saved are not complete A62's, we need an A62 saved! They seem forgotten about all the time with many referring to the A's are A60 stock etc. I would have said 5130 but thats gone 5160?

I had a great little run on 5189. I've fallen in love with this unit a little. It is potentially the best looking unit of the fleet!
If 5056 was to be preserved that would make me so happy. I think another unit has been earmarked for this duty.

I would've loved to see 5130 saved because of the personal importance, but it has been cut up only miles away from where it was built. If an A62 unit was to be saved 5161 would seem the logical option as it had a bogie repairs after last year's derailment.
Most probably going to be another A60 double.

5116 looks like being the only unit that will be preservered and its new home will be Ruislip Depot.

In a previous life, wasn't most of unit 116/117 actually unit 36/37, with only 6116 being 'original'? Now, we have car 6036 still around, in a pretty original state, as a RAT car. Put two and two together... ;D

The bits that are currently numbered as 116/7 renumbered back to original (36/37), a fairly original 6036 in the unit...maybe (pretty please) an exterior restoration to unpainted aluminium or at least a finish similar...hmm...quite nice, really... ;D

Reading the comment below I remember that not all the A62 have the beading round the blind. 5158 onwards have it.
