15/10/11 5035+5169 5099+5046 RKY 23 5044+5165 RKY 23 5085+5163 What's particularly interesting about juliang's report is that both 5044 and 5046 reached 50 years in passenger service today 16/10, both starting from Rickmansworth 23 Siding this morning, 5044 on T447 and 5046 on T413. I wonder what odds you would have got on that scenario occurring this morning 50 years ago!

5056 is 50 years 'delivered' on 11/11/61 and 50 years 'in service' on 5/12/61. Hang on in there .....

Please note 5122 was in Wembley Park Sidings. Also, I better mention that it would be a welcome miracle if 5124 and 5200 were in Neasden Depot today! Both arrived at Northwood for scrap on the 10th of October.

I was on carriage 5195 yesterday afternoon on my way to Wembley for the NFL. Still looks in reasonable nick too. That may well be my last A stock journey. Came back on an S stock, which looked for all the world like a Circle train. Yellow handles, seat layout like the old Circle one. Didn't look like a Met layout at all.

Nothing to report Metman since the changed formations I advised on Friday except for the fact, and please don't be alarmed(!), but 5056 has uncoupled from 5070 as it was undertaking a shunt move at the north end of the depot as I passed at about 1745.

I'm interested to learn the status of this unit as it is nearly three weeks since it was last in passenger service. Since the scrapping programme really got under way, no other unit has lasted this long without finding itself formed into T717. I'm sure 5056 will reach 50. On the subject of being 50, 5050 is 50 on Sunday. Hopefully, it will be out and about, may be as T450!

I shouldn't worry Metman, 5128 has been out of action for some time now (or so I am lead to believe). 5128 is more at risk anyway, as its an A62.
Although 5128 could do the same as 5134, and have a miraculous return (unlikely though).
