Either Auto or Audio Visual Inspection. I have seen them running trains on LU with video cameras mounted at the front, so it's plausible, feel free to correct me!

What we thought was likely, 5016 is formed up with 5169.

Hello to readers of this thread. This is my first post.
Having been born and raised in Metroland and with railways in the blood on both sides of my family, the 'A' stock has always been a personal favourite. So today I thought I would pop down memory lane before the 'As' become even more 'sparse'.
Aldagte, Uxbridge and Watford visited today. NB local between Wembley Park and Harrow on the Hill not accessible from at least midday so everything NB was semi fast to Harrow. It appeared that SB Baker St off peak service from UXB was terminating at Harrow and the NB Baker St off peak service to Watford was starting at Harrow re the siganlling problems at Wembley Park. The following sets were noted.
403 5090N 5061S 412 5161N 5134S 416 5118N 5024S 421 5231N 5034S 422 5122N 5219S 430 5099N 5106S 446 5169N 5016S (FLATS ON 5016 AND 5168) 453 5109N 5096S 454 5105N 5062S 456 5203N 5114S
& 8 car SET 5113N 5022S was seen shunting at the north end of Neasden Depot early pm.
A good day. Regards nv

Lots of blocking back between Wembley Park and Finchley Road SB in the evening peak. No idea as to why, but as an aside the Jubilee Line was eventually shut down between Finchley Road and Canary Wharf because of a defective train at St John's Wood. Met empathy?!

If there turns out to be no more all A62 stock formations, 5134+5161 formed T470 this morning.

What is stopped? .....and does that mean a scrap move on Wed 6th? I thought that with the S7 delivery on Wed night, there would be no A8 scrap move until after the next S8 delivery.

'stopped' is the term used for units that aren't serviceable. Doesn't mean that there is a scrap, but won't know till nearer the time.

Hi all!
Had a superb ride today on 5096-5097S and 5108-5109 N on T413, ALD-AME and return. Only heard one other A Stock unit out during off peak. It was an A60S-A62N combination, so probably either 5062/5161 or 5034/5231. Services rather disrupted today due to a major signal failure at Kings Cross during late morning and lunch time.
Can't believe there's only a few weeks left of regular service for these superb beasts!.
Best Wishes to all and thanks so much for all the gen posted here and on the other Met Line threads.
Green Lion.

I spent the day at Lords and actually saw quite a saw A stock out. Sadly I had to suffer a rattling S stock! 01/06/2012 5119+5XXX It was working with 5024-5025. 5118-5119 unfortunately got bricked whilst working 17.39 ALD-CHM near to the terminus and both 5119 and 6119 sustained broken windows. It's not yet known whether this has pushed the unit possibly together with 5024-5025 to the front of the queueu to form T717. Best Wishes Green Lion.

Hi all!
As I posted previously, I was out yesterday (Friday) on Met train 413 formed of units 5096-5097 and 5108-5109. Does train 413 go out to Uxbridge at any point during its diagram please? When it terminated at ALD having come from AME at around 15.35, after the driver had changed ends, he made an announcement that the train would be for "All stations to Uxbridge". I was unable to check any of the platform indicators and left the train at Baker Street, so was unable to find out whether this was just a slip of the tongue or whether the train was actually heading out for Uxbridge. Could someone please confirm where it was heading?
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Best Wishes
Green Lion.

Train 413 forms the 15.41 Aldgate to Amersham. If the driver announced "Uxbridge" it could be (1) an error or (2) more likely if the service was disrupted, a reform to get the service back on timetable. There is an Uxbridge Met either side of train 413 ex-Aldgate (15.32 and 15.47).
If the latter was the case, it could have been sorted out on crew pick-ups at Wembley (if they still do them there) or Harrow.
