I remember that day, as I’m sure everyone was that day I was in total shock. Not sure how many times I read that announcement before it actually sunk in. Dave has left us a wonderful place to meet and enjoy our common interest in all things UndergrounD. I would also like to thank the Admins and moderators for great job they do in keeping Dave’s dream alive. Thank you.

Ten years? I'm in shock! Thanks to all who have continued the legend over those years.

Ten years already. How time flies. I would hope Dave can be proud that his forum still exists and continues to be the premier Underground forum on the net!

Having never met the man myself, I still feel as if I knew him from his posting. A grand legacy.

We had corresponded a bit, the first time I was living in the States and he was surprised the site had reached that far! Still the news of his (to me, sudden) passing came as a great shock. As I was then working in London, I slipped out of the office for his send off. What a gathering, and still the best rendition of 'Jerusalem' I have ever heard. I was glad to have been able to add my bit for a fine man and family.

Look all around you & ye shall see his works, as somebody else once said.
Very true about any man of vision and definitely about District Dave.

Look all around you & ye shall see his works, as somebody else once said. As in Wren's inscription in St Paul's Cathedral: 'LECTOR SI MONUMENTUM REQUIRIS CIRCUMSPICE' ... 'Reader, if you seek his monument – look around you'

Here's a pic of Dave from the very first forum meet. The date stamp on the picture is 20/08/2005 at 1458.

10 years - can’t quite believe it. I’m sure he’d be proud that the forum is still going strong, and true to the vision he had back in 2005.
