BTW, it is Sunday 15th May - which the website doesn't seem to say as far as I can see.

I do hope that the signaller remembers that the 8-car train may need to head into the sand drag at Hammersmith Siding (heading north) as last time on the Auto-Tube Rambler it was found that the train could not clear the rear points. Rare track indeed if that is the case on the day for track-bashers. Also it will be the last time that anyone can 'do' the Finsbury Park crossovers to/from the Picc.

Likewise, and I did mention that to the lady on the phone as I phoned up first to confirm the date before I booked the tickets as May is a busy month for me.

I was thinking I could definitely do this, but thinking about it... can I justify two weekends in a row of going out - when I have an exam 4 days after this and it is £30? But it is the last... oooh...

Posted today: Offline tour marks stock milestone '67 stock - the first and last chance to ride it 'offline' this May The '67 stock has been running on the Victoria line for 43 years since the line opened in 1968. It will be decommissioned this summer as part of the Victoria line upgrade. To mark this historic event there will be a special offline tour on Sunday 15 May. Victoria line General Manager John Doyle said: "The tour is an exciting and unusual event. It will be the first and last time passengers can travel by '67 stock on the District, Piccadilly and Metropolitan lines. The tour marks the end of more than 40 years of sterling service given to London by the '67 stock and any money we are able to make from the tour will be donated to the Railway Children charity." If you would like to book tickets please visit the London Transport Museum website (see related links on the right had side of this page) or call them on 020 7565 7298. www.ltmuseum.co.uk/whats-on/events/other-events

Of course 67TS have carried passengers on the D&P on the aformentioned Auto-Tube Rambler but it's still great that something is being done.

Does anyone know (or rather, can predict) how quickly these tickets will sell out? I don't want to buy the tickets until payday but they could be all gone by then

They said they'd be sending the tickets next week, so not sure if that means they'll be on sale after that or not.

I think I posted this in chat rather than here...
Perhaps those of us going from the forum should arrange to meeting up before the tour starts?

I have got my tickets today and it will be interesting to see one other lucky '67 leave the confines of the line for anything other than maintenance at Acton Works.

Still plenty of seats available according to the diagram on the website. I think I posted this in chat rather than here... Perhaps those of us going from the forum should arrange to meeting up before the tour starts? I'll second that. From the LT Museum website: Anyone been on a full day LU tour before? If so, how limited is limited likely to be? Toilets are located at all National Rail stations. The following Victoria line stations have toilets: Vauxhall Victoria Green Park Euston Kings Cross St Pancras Walthamstow Central For the route itself, there are toilets located at Barons Court and Ealing Braodway. However, it may of course be the case that these stations are not stopped at long enough to use the facilities. Engineering work on the day is presently scheduled to be: Central: Newbury Park to Grange Hill Circle: suspended District: Embankment to Dagenham East, as well as Earls Court to Edgware Road Hammersmith & City line: Liverpool Street to Barking Metropolitan line: Moorgate to Aldgate It should also be noted that there will be no National Rail services from Seven Sisters until 13:00
