Is T717 booked again for tomorrow (20/06/12)? or is the next working sometime next week? There's an S stock delivery due tomorrow, so this may have some bearing on the matter.
Many thanks for any info.
Best Wishes
Green Lion.

Many thanks for any info. Best Wishes Green Lion. 5096/97 was still on site this am. In the past, if there has been two scrap moves during a week, the last two vehicles from Monday's train have gone first thing on the Wed morning. Also, there was no S8 delivery on Monday night. Both these factors make me think that T717 won't operate today.

Correct, but two planned next week To echo Graeme186's previous comments; thanks very much reganorak! for the gen. Is it too early to say which units might be involved? Best Wishes Green Lion.

Have just passed 6097 on an Allely's lorry on the M25 approaching the M1 interchange.
On it's final journey to Booths no doubt.

Interestingly, 5012+5181 forms T431 which means its scheduled to stable in Uxbridge Sidings. Clearly, it could be changed over at some point this evening but I would have thought that if this set was off for scrap Monday, Neasden would want it tonight. Perhaps 5012 may still yet reach 51? We'll see. Is it still possible that it won't be 5012+5181 going tomorrow? Could it be 5100+5189 (I haven't filmed 5100 yet)?

Is it still possible that it won't be 5012+5181 going tomorrow? Could it be 5100+5189 (I haven't filmed 5100 yet)? I suspect that 5100 and 5203 may well be Wednesday's scrap run, as this reshuffle has only just been made. I'm sure someone will confirm which units are on T717 today in due course. All I do know is that it won't be 5034 and 5231, which were seen out and about yesterday. Does anyone have any definitive info re: this coming Friday 29. June please? Is it the end of all A stock operation, the end of off peak operation only? or none of the above? Answers on a postcard please!! Best Wishes to all Green Lion.

5012 and 5181 are in the siding, although they've taken 5012 and 6012 already.
Edit: damn, should have refreshed first.

Can someone please confirm what Friday 29th June marks the end of please, Is it the end of all A stock operation or off peak operations or neither? Thanks That seems to be the question, which noone knows the definitive answer to at the moment. According to the "always reliable" Wikipedia page though, it states that unconfirmed reports suggest that Friday 29. June will be the end of all regular A Stock operations, which could quite well be the case with almost all the S Stocks now having been delivered. If anyone does know precisely what's going on, then please could they let us all know!. MTIA and Best Wishes Green Lion.

The depot have not been made aware of any formal end to A-stock operations, so what's fit for use and in date for maintenance, from both the old and new fleets, will be offered for service.
On the same basis, there's no reason why A-stock will not continue to be used on all day services. The pattern has been that, subject to units not failing, they get withdrawn a couple of days before disposal for stripping, and can run on any path until then.
There's a desire to stop A-stock operation asap, and a preference to not offer A-stock during the Olympics, but it's nothing more concrete than that.

I'm going to guess that 5100+5203 will be Wednesdays scrap train. Given my observation of 5100+5203 in the North Shunting Neck this evening, I would agree Metman.

The overnight delivery is a 7 car S stock It was an S8 instead According to Bob P. on the relevant thread of this forum, it was 21087-21088. The next couple of S7s deliveries may well have the 8th cars for sets 21035-21036 and 21059-21060 in them, to bring them up to S8s. Car 23045 was delivered with S7 train 21305-21306. Thanks to the poster re: the clarification of this Friday. Although it's not an official end to A Stock operation per se, with their numbers getting less each week, it won't be long before they become extremely hard to find. Best Wishes to all Green Lion.
