21393 passed through Baker Street out on test this afternoon. 21393 was the S7 left in Wembley Park Sidings this morning so has presumably entered passenger service.

They seem to be organising things so that the Circle and H&C go all S-stock at the same time - presumably this is so TfL can issue a single triumphant press release mentioning "air conditioning" 20 times?

The trains are not line specific, and due to the way the trains are also used on the District, it would be hard , for example, to make the H&C all S Stock before the other lines. One of the H&C stables at Lillie Bridge depot and is used on a Circle working the next day. For as long as they have this inter working, it would be difficult to guarantee that the H&C would be all S stock. During times of disruption, H&C trains can get reformed into Circle trains and vice versa. So even if they planned it meticulously, a C stock could still stray onto any line.

I see from the S7 deliveries list that 21397/8 don't have an introduction to service date yet - i saw them yesterday (15/01) on the circle line if that helps.

What is the S7+1 situation? Are they all still running on the Met?

How many S8 still have to go back to Derby? As of now - and if they stick to 37 - 8 more.

I still see S7+1 trains on the Met so as Reg says they are likely to be around until the mods are done. Shame if you get one on a Amersham/Chesham service!

Yep, they're still about. Saw two yesterday with all the punters travelling sideways to Baker Street!

Whilst there are of course no gaurantees......
One of the two District line S stock training trains is now able to run in passenger service on the Wimbledon branch during Mon to Fri mornings (2 trips Wim to HSK) - of course it'll only run if there's a training need.
As from Monday 10th February H&C and circle lines to be 100% S stock.

Or will they be stockpiling them until they have enough trained drivers to make a working timetable feasible?

Or will they be stockpiling them until they have enough trained drivers to make a working timetable feasible? Colin's post simply implies that the 2 training runs to Wimbledon that are already available on a M-F morning are now able to run in passenger service, this probably occurred yesterday or today. Monday will not see further S7s in District service, this may occur towards the end of the month, when 4 will be introduced using the drivers already trained. The next batch of 4 (seeing off the C Stock) should happen in May/June.

I saw it go past my school at about 11:40, I'm guessing this was the second run back from Wimbledon

There's two out today - one Circle and one H&C - or at least there was earlier.

Hopefully this was not down to no C Stock being available?! Yesterday PM peak, T211 and T240 were C Stock. There was some disruption today with several signal failures, you are correct in part, though sets 71 and 74 were about as I photographed both several times during the afternoon and early evening. (There may have been reformations of other sets, the only Circle with a C I saw was on 205, 200 was an S when I saw it) 71 was formed of 5721 and 5578 (didn't notice the middle unit) Now for the interesting bit and to record it for historical purposes! Owing to no serviceable C stock being available, set 74 was formed of S stock. This makes it the first S to run on a *normal* District line set working. Units 21317 and 21318 worked set 74 from 1200 until 2020. Yesterday (Friday) set 753 worked a couple of Wimbledon - High Street Kensington trips, whilst 754 worked a Barking - Wimbledon - Barking (also formed of 21317+21318.) Current plan is that Set 71 will be formed of S stock throughout the traffic day from Monday 10th February. Sets 70, 75 and 77 will convert in the week commencing 24th February. 72, 73, 74 and 76 should remain C stock for a few more months at least.

Thank you for your update to my earlier report re this afternoon and also for the information regarding S7 plans for the Wimbledon-Edgware Road service. The middle Unit of T71 was 5531. I thought it was T72 as it was running 10 mins late and I was too busy filming to notice the number. I then went off quickly to film T236 which was 5727+5560+5596. T200 was C Stock with the 1620 ex Edgware Rd formed of 5712+5551+5516. T74 did not turn up for the 1625 ex Edgware Road. May be it had reversed north to south at High St Kensington. Unlucky for me by the sounds of it! To help narrow down those Units that have been withdrawn this weekend, T70 was 5598+5570+5565, T73 was 5594+5553+5733, T75 was 5511+5715+5728, T76 was 5549+5555+5522 and T77 was 5533+5517+5592.

You were indeed unlucky 74 was indeed curtailed short of Edgware Road on that trip, owing to late running caused by a signaling problem in the Earls Court / Gloucester Road area that delayed it's earlier W/B trip. Someone was seen filming 74 at East Putney, no idea if they appreciated the significance of what they were filming!
Just to complete your details Set 72 had 5705 and 5717 on the outer ends.
