Oh yes, I didn't mean to undermine that, just a lot less significant than if it were to go from Moorgate clockwise! (Which sounds highly risky indeed) The test can only be undertaken in the few hours between the last train at night and the first train the next morning, plus the train will have to return to Neasden Depot.

Grrr, who just put an all stations (as the front said, 431?) train onto the fast tracks southbound and then not stop at all at Wembley Park? saw it on the departure boards at hoth so went to the fast platform and it just sailed right past

surprised no one has mentioned this yet (unless I've missed it elsewhere) but train 443 was 'S' stock to Aldgate yesterday (8th June) in the evening peak (approx 17.10 at Aldgate)
this could well be the case again on Friday evening

I get the impression that the S stock entry into service will now start to gather pace. I think running one to Aldgate in the peak was one of the final goals.

Is there a 'known issue' at Eastcote, or are a colleague and I just unlucky...
Whenever either of us has been on an S-Stock at Eastcote, the train doors have failed to open - the latest incident being Wednesday from memory, where the first car + half the second car didn't open because the train had stopped short. This usually seems to be the case when he' on the train, and I've noticed it too when I've been through Eastcote.

cso - the doors locked out are actually as I understand it the first and last 4 sets. The stopping zones are VERY tight, which may have something to do with it.

T451 is formed of 21019/20 this morning. Is this their first day in passenger service?

That's the doors that are meant to be locked out - but not the doors that are locked out from what he was saying...

That's the doors that are meant to be locked out - but not the doors that are locked out from what he was saying... To lock out half the doors on the second car you'd have to have one leaf of the middle doorway shut!

As I wasn't on the train, I don't know the specific doors that were shut... just that he was saying that all the doors in the first car didn't open and neither did some in the second car.
This doesn't really change the question though: is there a problem with drivers managing to stop at Eastcote correctly or not?

Does anybody have the full timetable for Trains 431 & 474 please? 451 (S-stock) becomes train 431 at 1100 Harrow Northbound. 431 then runs: 1100 Harrow-Uxbridge 1129 Uxbridge-Aldgate 1240 Aldgate-Uxbridge 1349 Uxbridge-Aldgate 1500 Aldgate-Uxbridge 1609 Uxbridge-Baker St 1659 Baker St-Uxbridge 1749 Uxbridge-Baker St 1844 Baker St-Watford Where, during the trip it becomes 474 continuing to Watford 474 then runs: 1943 Watford-Moorgate 2044 Moorgate-Uxbridge 2149 Uxbridge-Aldgate 2300 Aldgate-Uxbridge 0015 Uxbridge-Harrow (Detrains and runs empty to Neasden depot) And, before anyone asks, the regular trip from now on is... 443 as follows: 0722 Neasden Depot-Harrow (empty) 0736 Harrow-Uxbridge 0803 Uxbridge-Aldgate 0915 Aldgate-Watford 1033 Watford-Baker St 1124 Baker St-Watford 1223 Watford-Baker St 1314 Baker St-Watford 1413 Watford-Baker St 1504 Baker St-Watford 1603 Watford-Aldgate 1713 Aldgate-Watford 1823 Wattford-Aldgate 1931 Aldgate-Uxbridge 2039 Uxbridge-Aldgate 2150 Aldgate-Uxbridge 2259 Uxbridge-Aldgate 0014 Aldgate-Harrow 0108 Harrow-Neasden Depot (empty) Just to clarify, for the time being, the regular trips that have run for months now will continue to run, with the exception of 451 not being formed of S-stock during the evening - though this is also subject to late notice change.

Well they have been running to Aldgate regularly now. They still won't come out after dark though! ;D I'm afraid there will be 2 "nocturnal" S8s from now on - well late evening anyway, when it is dark. Oh and last night the initial stage-fright of the S7 was overcome and it tested successfully between Baker Street and Edgware Road. Sorry Metman ;D

MetControl - Firstly thanks for those timings. Secondly, did the S7 get transferred to Hammersmith or just tested between BKS and Edgware Road? If the latter, then what platform at Edgware Road? Thanks.

LU move customers from A to B, they used to do it via 'C'.

Thanks. It ran from Baker Street Platform 6 to Edgware Road Platform 3, and then reversed via Platform 2 back to Baker Street Platform 5. I have photo's which I will send to the admins to post, due to my complete computer illiteracy!

Are we likely to see any 'S' stock in service at Amersham in the near future?

Hmm, unless it was going to Chesham, I definitely saw one heading southbound further north than Moor Park
