Not 100% sure where it begins, will try and pay more attention tonight... I do know it ends just past where the Ruislip Siding / West Ruislip Depot bit which is before Ickenham tube station.
I think it's only appeared recently after they did drainage works one weekend from Ickenham - Rayners Lane (about 3 weeks ago?) but I think it's even more recent than that.

Is there a speed restriction on the Uxbridge branch around the West Ruislip Depot exit?
If so, is there any reason for it?
I think there are as there are lots of luminous yellow signs appeared, one of which says T when the trains seem to get faster... what does the 'T' mean?
Thanks Colin

Now why didn't we think like that . We can't get them in unless we test them. Not meaning to have a dig at you personally, here... Quite... why don't people think like customers? I agree, that you need to test the new trains. However, instead of running the testing trains while there's a suspension and severe delays, would it not be more beneficial to the customers in the 'here and now' to run passenger service trains? Certainly, I would have thought the passengers of today would prefer that rather than seeing this shiny, new, empty train wandering around the tracks.

A visit to the T fL website reveals "an earlier signal failure at Baker Street". So you could have answered your own question had you looked at the said website. Well, yes... but then the announcement at wembley park was about emergency engineering works on the 'baker street junction' which doesn't imply to me a Signal Failure... so I was wondering if anyone had any more information. Obviously looking for that is frowned upon though

What went wrong today? Seemed to me that the Met line was in disarray almost all day today...
One of the comments from my friends was along the lines of "Since TFL can't seem to run the normal trains to time, why are they trying out the new train ATM?" as he passed it squashed like a sardine from Baker Street to Watford!
Although it was the quietest evening Uxbridge service I've been on ;D

Surely the Met still does 4-car working from Chalftont and Latimer to Chesham?

We actually have a timetable for the strile this week Pity the information doesn't appear to have been published in advance... Think I'll make alternative arrangements tomorrow, just in case

The CIS isn't programmed to include these two stations in its announcements though. Probably a sensible decision... presumably TOps will make the announcement if the situation arises a train is stopping there (Jubilee Line works etc) and override the CIS.

I am told that this one will be publicised more, but I won't hold my breath to wait and see ;D ;D It's already been publicised more... I knew about it on Monday rather than a rumour on here on Tuesday night and an announcement at Harrow on the Wednesday morning last time Wonder if they'll be convinced to call it off as I've just spotted that there's an football match on at Wembley on that night.

According to a poster in Hillingdon Tube Station there is another Met affecting strike on Wed 11th August
No other info about it other than they'll try to keep services running but expect disruption.

I would guess somewhere on the Met, heading up between Chalfont and Latimer and Amersham...

The Met is currently able to (and has been) stop at Wilesden Green (and I think Neasden) - is this still going to be the case with the S Stock?

Out of interest, when does Testing commence on the Uxbridge branch?

It should be noted that the Met is suspended due to Jubilee Line works. Why? Surely it's seperate track etc. so wouldn't affect it? Additionally, would it not then make sense to do some Met work today too?

They want to send 1tph Milton Keynes to London Marylebone via Bletchley, Winslow, Aylesbury and High Wycombe (88 min) Could they realistically run this via Amersham as fast non stop between HotH to Amersham? Errr, why would they run it via Amersham, if they want it to go via High Wycombe?

Speaking of which ... apparently the S Stock has been at Watford a lot recently, and the one last night had seats and no signs in the windows... I wonder if this means the day is getting closer for it to be running?

Surely there's no way that less than half a service can be defined as a 'Good Service'??

BTW, is the strike the reason why trains seemed to be running as 5xx this morning rather than 4xx or have I just never noticed that they run as 5xx in the morning

I didn't notice a poster at Hillingdon, but did spot one at Wembley Park when I got there... I'm fairly sure I didn't spot it last night either... Apparently it was to be displayed at All met stations, Zone 1 Stations, and things like West Ruislip and Marylebone according to the small print on the bottom

A special timetable is in operation for the whole of today. Apparently the timetable is: - No fast services - 2 tph Amersham - Wembley - 4 tph Watford - Baker Street - 4 tph Uxbridge - Aldgate (n/s Baker Street) and I think the guy announcing at harrow had another one too, but I didn't catch it.

If they're in the confines of a depot next to the running line where trains, with observant drivers, pass every few minutes, how do they get to the stage where they can be 'seriously artistically modified'? I'm aware that any reply must be made with care for security concerns, giving info to the wrong people, etc. but are there no security guards/cctv who would be made aware that there were extra trains in attendance that must be kept an eye on? They were modified before they got there I guess - when they were stationed where they stopped when the Traction Current was having issues after the Barking file?

What is the significance of the (apparently) new boards at the drivers end of each platform with a collection of black/yellow chevrons and a green board with S8 on it? I am assuming it's a stopping board for drivers so that they know where to stop... but if that's the case, why don't they need something like that just now

Either that, or it's just getting in to the habbit of causing service affecting problems ;-) One of these days I'll actually manage to see it

Who "owns" the lines which are shared with BR trains?
Eg - the district branch to Richmond, the Met branch to Amersham (fast) etc.
as this surely changes who allows things on them?
Also, could (theoretically) a Chiltern train end up on the Met line via Wembley Park and be able to run?

Thanks, edgemaster for the offer...
However, Dstock7080 has already sent me one which is much appreciated.
