Fort William and the National Rail station at Charing Cross have got the biggest clangers. Have a look as what they are listed as! I have just seen the way the two stations have been listed, as a travel centre (Fort William) and an underground station (Charing Cross NR), a mistake that you think would be easily avoided by those maintaining the maps.

Does that mean that any station covered by Section 12 is not allowed to be unstaffed for safety reasons during usual opening hours?

It was good to see everyone who was in attendance yesterday and I would like to wish one and all a really brilliant Christmas.

I intend to be there... whether it will be for noon or not, I don't know! Unfortunately I will no longer make it to the event. 🙁 I would like to wish you a brilliant Christmas.

Might it not be useful to move the stuff about which rolling stock is to be used on the Romford to Upminster service into a thread on its own as it seems a pertinent question as to whether brand new rolling stock is warranted on a short, lightly used line?
Apologies to the mods and admins if I have overstepped the mark in making the above suggestion.

The video has now been re-uploaded: An excellent video marking the 37 years of service these veteran units gave to London Underground.

Do the DfT want three lines of the London Underground to be out of commission as the existing rolling stock is beyond economic repair and maintenance and cannot be replaced (Apologies if this is taking things off topic) Well the DfT can argue that the 92 stock on the Central and W&C is only just over half its design-life of 40-years. They could also argue that the Bakerloo is not the most heavily trafficked or strategically important line and could survive with a reduced level of service for perhaps an additional 5-years beyond the original programme replacement date. They could conceivably employ that argument, but the result would be a massive own goal for them given the state of TfL’s finances and the potential of diminished passenger numbers on the lines concerned.

Wasn't there an agreement between the CLR (Central London Railway) and the LNER (I think it was the LNER at that time?) precluding extension beyond Liverpool Street and Broad Street?
Of course that doesn't mean someone wasn't thinking/hoping an extension could happen in the future.
Would the agreement not have been between the Central London Railway and the Great Eastern Railway given the extension from Bank to Liverpool Street opened in 1912
