What stock have LUL still got dumped around the network? I know that the state of play a few years ago was:-
South Harrow - 83ts *now some of it has been removed* Uxbridge - 83ts *now all removed* Lillie Bridge - Mk 1 72ts *now Measurement Train?! London Road - Mk 1 72ts *presume now part of the Bakerloo fleet Cockfosters - 83ts *removed and scrapped?? Ruislip - 2x 62ts Depot Pilots *still there (just about!) Hainault - 72ts *most now removed Acton Depot - 62ts & Mk 1 72ts *still there last April Have I missed anything? Is there any updates you experts can give me?! I would like to see what can be photographed (legitimately) from public places. I did photo most of the above apart from Cockfoster, Lillie Bridge and London Road around 2002 so would be interested to know what if anythin I can still get!!
P.S Yes I know there is a heap of stuff in the LUL museum and Acton Works

Out of interest can anyone tell me what roads at uxbridge the 83s were dumped upon? In training i was told some points were rarely used and they were taken out of comission

The one nearest Sainsburys had a 72mk1 on it for a few years, the next three roads inwards had 83ts. Don't know the numbers off hand, I'm affraid!

Well there's nothing out of the ordinary at Upminster - other than the occasional C stock visiting for a go on the wheel lathe.
There is quite a bit of ex tube stock at the Shoeburyness MOD base, some of which can just about be seen from the outer perimeter fence....

Yes they were looking quite green when I last saw them, hence my comment about just about being there still! Presume they don't have any regular use now?
Is anything at Neasden?! (out of the ordinary I mean!)

there was one car of 83 sitting in neasden for a bit and it didn't look to bad (you could see it from the south bound met) but wasn't that the one that went to great ormond street? it's a shame theres nothing much on the northern anymore from a picture on flickr there was a picture of an ex northern line 59ts in the mod! I'm not sure if I should post the link beacause unless the person was authorised it might be a bit against the rules

P.S Yes I know there is a heap of stuff in the LUL museum and Acton Works Looking at the above list, basically correct apart from the following: - Definitely no 72MkIts at Lillie Bridge. Last I knew that unit (3213) was at Wabtec Doncaster, not sure if it's back on LUL yet. - At least one 72MkIts remains stored at London Road, definitely not part of Bakerloo fleet. Bakerloo fleet is unchanged from as it was in the late 1990s - the 4 trains of MkIts from the Northern, also hybrid unit 3299. - Yes, no 83ts at Cockfosters any more. - 2x pilot units at Ruislip, also Northern Line Engineering 59/62ts train is still there AFAIK. Don't forget the Weed Killing Train which is stored withdrawn at Ruislip, also the Tunnel Cleaning Train (not sure if that ever moves these days). Also the 1985 battery locos are stored at the back of Ruislip Depot alongside the Met tracks. - Only 72MkIts at Hainault is 3511, never likely to move again - prove me wrong Metronet! - Status of units at Acton Works is unchanged. So from the above, London Road, Ruislip, Hainault and Acton Works are the best locations. There's also 09ts at Northumberland Park Depot, of course! Hope that helps.

I always wonder what the Mark 1 72ts is doing at Acton Depot (not the museum, the depot near the park) which looks very sorry for itself. Any reason it hasnt been removed and scrapped?! Same with 3511 at Hainault, although i haven't seen it there is a photo on flickr of it (its in a non public location I gather) and I can't see why it is still there and not disposed of its chances of ever operating again are so slim!
I presume the South Harrow 83ts unit(s) are still there then?

At the last look there was 1x3 "over the back" and 1x6 on No.36 road ("the traffic siding) next to the EB line. Total three units.
I will check tomorrow (Thursday) but I am sure nothing has moved.

The 72ts at London Road, is it viewable from the road bridge at all?! Indeed, any of the stock (I know the South Harrow ones are) that are mentioned, are they photographable from anywhere public besides passing trains?!

Excellent, I have a long range zoom so will see what i can do at some point!! Does it ever get moved around? Or is it in a similar state to 3511 at Hainault?! I would imagine its nothing more than a spares donor sadly!

What is the status of the 72 stock at Aldwych? Does it have a future?

When I was at Aldwych a few months ago it was working fine - it seemed very noisy, though that could just be because it was so quiet down there. I didn't see it move, but they said that they moved it up and down to Holborn every once in a while.
The cars have some odd additions - such as a bulkhead fronted with some shiny plastic wood!

There are THREE 1983 units in South Harrow as of today, exactly as in my previous posting on the subject at 22.34 on 18th.

Wasn't the original plan for the 72TS at London Rd to be a personnel/equipment transporter for P.Way staff?

Are there any plans to move any of the stored stock or dispose of it?!

Metronet have disposed of 14 cars of 1972 MkI Tube Stock from Shoeburyness recently, which is why they weren't on my list posted on 18/11 at 22.34. The other two units there belong to Tube Lines apparently.
I am not aware of anything else going for disposal at the moment.
