I am aware that xx12 & xx77 have not been seen in "regular" service for some time due to being kitted out with various gubbins to do with the new signalling for the 09TS. Is this still the case, or with the preproduction 09TS now around do they fulfill that function, allowing xx12 & xx77 to resume front line service.
I guess those two units may well be the last 67 stock in service on the Victoria due to haveing the necessary gubbins!
Any info appreciated.

There's usually a 67TS running when the 09TS is out I assume it's these units.

Though I am unsure which set is doing which job there is a requirement for one to run with the 09TS sets under test to push out in the event of failure, perish the thought. Also a set is used to carry signalling equipment to installation sites as required.

Units '12' and '77' are still a test train. if these are the config B train with signalling kit on - they have on board signalling kit to read from the new lineside leaky feeder aerial - but the on-train siganlling kit just "listens" it doesn't drive the train.

Units '12' and '77' are still a test train. Thanks, is the general thinking that they have worked their last "service" trains, or with the additional kit they have been given, will they come back into traffic as they could work along side the 09TS during the transition period.

Unit 3077 was taken out of service on 6/9/05 and 3012 on 21/10/06. They were formed up 3077-4077-4112-3112+3012-4012-4177-3177 on 21/11/06.

So that the operative cabs of the double-ended unit (3011/3177) could be at the outer ends of the 8-car train.

Would these units happen to include the car with the large, leaning cushions (forgotten what they are called Standbacks?) near the doors as is found on the 73 Ts and 95/96 Ts?

Would these units happen to include the car with the large, leaning cushions? No. They belong to cars 4086 and 4186.

I'm off to London for meetings tomorrow for the first time in ages... Dont suppose xx12/xx77 have made a miraculous re-appearance in traffic?

This was the 2009 test train but has now finished with that work. It went to Acton and the photos show it whilst undergoing friction tests. It is now back at Acton and will probably be disposed of later in the year.

Theres a double ended though? Surely it'd be a good idea to keep that for flexibility and chuck another single ender instead?

Probably cost more than would be economically viable to put the double ender back to original condition.
Also, the train is formed:
3077-4077-4112-3112+3012-4012-4177-3177

It's been reported on the web that these two units have been sold to CF Booth and 2 cars (3012 and 3112) have already been transported to Rotherham for cutting.

Not as far as I know. I think one must be saved because they were the first automatic underground train, and they look cool, better than that rubbish we have now! ;D

So the scrapping of the 1967 stock commences. I assume that they will wait until a few 2009 stock are in service before they start scrapping the rest.
