I really enjoyed the programme it was a bit shocking about the person being pushed on the rails and stabbed but i think the staff did handle the situation in a professional manner. I hope it will show drivers i am sure it will I wonder if it will mention the troubled Jubilee line upgrade in this series?

I have to admit I thoroughly enjoyed last night's episode. I was not expecting it to be, but I thought on the whole it was better than the ITV version (and thousands of times better than the Channel 4). Very well made and I can't wait to see the next episode on Monday.
There were two bits that had me in hysterics, although looking back, they wouldn't be hugely funny to any but the biggest of tube fans. Those two bits being: 1. When the man and woman alighted from the District to Richmond, crossed over to the other platform to board another train and the doors shut just after that man had got on leaving his wife on the platform and him on the train 2. When the member of staff said to the man on the train at Morden, 'Wakey, wakey, rise and shine. It's the end of the northern line.' I'd say he deserves at least an MBE for that brilliant comment
Also, can anyone shed any light on which forum member was on the show last night?

I was PML at the sleepyhead guy who was convinced he was at Kennington and had to get to Morden, even though he was already at Morden and had been told so several times already.
Morden, in my opinion by the way, should always be pronounced "Mhor-dhun", in a Lord of the Ringsy kind of a way.

So does that also make you the person that said 'Wakey, wakey, rise and shine, it's the end of the Northern Line' and once paid for someone's taxi fare?

Just to add does anybody remember the guy in the main control room being on the ITV version. I swear he was. Seemed very familiar. Is he on the forum by any chance to answer this question?

Those two moments had my dad and I laughing hysterically.

Thought so. He seemed familiar and I don't think I would have seen him anywhere else. Thanks for that

i really enjoyed it. and like many others found it priceless that they filmed the bit where the man gets on the train and his wife gets left behind on the platform!
hope we get to see some footage of the drivers and what they hvve to deal with. In particular on the central line when the ato constantly fails1 plus on the Victoria line when you cant leave a station because of the doors being too sensitive.
i think the bus driver got it spot on that some londerers perhaps take for granted what they have got with the tube.

the quality of life isnt good, there are good reasons to stay in an area during life,family/local knowledge.many move away never to return ultimately its a decision was it the right thing to do at that point look back and the answer is yes in those cases.
you never forget your roots but there's a wider country out there not just ending at the M25.

Loved it! My only complaint if anything is that this program has not helped my patience. I want to know NOW whether TfL are progressing with my CSA application!

I actually thought most people didn't across well. They either appeared smug and know-it-all (the staff interviewed) or complete idiots (the passengers). I presume this qualifies as success for the producers.

I did see this program on the television and I know that lots of people here work at the stations, and I wanted to write and say what a very good job people all were doing and I was really impressed. Also you have been lucky with the television director because some just look for sensatonal things but this looked so real and honest.
We watched at home everything except I went to the kitchen for just one minute and Mr Diana did huge laugh and shouted the doors had closed between man and his wife so I missed what everyone has now said was funniest bit.
Lady (from Latvia I am guessing by name not Russia) who said what a surprise it all was then said that she so enjoyed the working and found it a good job, so interesting.
I think there will be lots of people who watch this programme and apply for jobs, HR department at the underground must think it has saved them so much effort in finding new people.

Yup, I ran into Northfields EB one Saturday afternoon to see a guy sitting on the platform with his legs dangling over the edge. I coshed it and leant on the whistle. He just made it. The foreman came onto the platform to see what the noise was all about and my guard told him. We didn't waste time looking for a bloke with brown trousers but it kept me awake for the next few stations.

I really dont think LU are having trouble finding new people! Indeed. Something like 17,000 applicants for the recent station assistant jobs (c300 vacancies I think)

I presume this qualifies as success for the producers. The problem with these fly-on-the-wall reality type of programs - Airports, Hospitals, Vets and so on is that some of those filmed play up to the camera. They suddenly become larger than life characters and come out with things that are just plain daft. Joviality set to max one chappie sitting in an office declared something along these lines - 'If it all runs late/goes wrong I won't wear the same clothes the next day. If it goes wrong more than once then those clothes are in the bin' <<< Eventually he'll turn up for sitting in his office starkers...........Besides, what's wrong with a charity shop or a pink PDSA bag left outside for pick-up...............

It was ok actually. Good to see a few local staff in it at Harrow and nice to see the odd familiar face from the last series!

They suddenly become larger than life characters and come out with things that are just plain daft. There are a couple of people from my office that could have filled the entire 6 weeks. We've still got a bet that they fill a "specially extended series finale" I also hope they edit my piece as there were a couple of lame remarks I made. 'If it all runs late/goes wrong I won't wear the same clothes the next day. If it goes wrong more than once then those clothes are in the bin' <<< Eventually he'll turn up for sitting in his office starkers... Who knows what he was wearing a week ago Monday when the possession on the Jubilee/Met slightly over-ran.... ;D

I look forward to the TAC "fave clothes" guy wearing uniform when all LU control functions are centralised in 2013. I've already asked why some staff can "dress down" on nights and weekends but others can't.

Looks like another shirt will be assigned to the great charity bag in the sky with yet another over run at Neasden. The question is do Burtons sell enough different styles of shirt to keep our man going ?
