My oh my, they've managed another overrun in engineering works.(district line suspended between upminster and bromley by due to late finish of engineering works ) i think it has gone way past time for metronet to be gone. check out there latest update of metronet matters at their site. or follow this link www.metronetrail.com/default.asp?sID=1079008703733 . I'm sick of them biggin themselves up. do they not understand that possessions end before start of traffic on a Monday morning? i rofpmsl every time they hit the headlines. they sh*t on me from a great height when i left them and something went wrong.(i would like to add it was there mistake. but as usual they pointed the finger before finding the facts) as a certain person knows about on this forum . strange how I've been on a possession all weekend with tube lines and i was home at 4am. an hour+ before start of traffic. if tube lines can do it why cant metronet? all that cost cutting has cost metronet big. which i am very happy about, but i feel for the traveling public. they have every right to be angry. i also feel for l.u workers that are in the public eye who get stick for metronets total incompetence . well that's my two bobs worth for now.

Metronet isn't going to dissappear overnight.
we have around 30 years of this so get used to it, if they overrun on a monday morning then that is bad. However as time goes on the need for heavy maintance like this should wane. Metronet is currently working on the maintance back log that the previous management of LU ignored for around 30 years.
So who is the ogre here really?

maintance back log that the previous management of LU ignored for around 30 years. That is both untrue and unfair. Not being allowed the funds to do the job isn't the same as ignoring it is it?

I haven't heard or read anyone else saying so.... the last few years prior to PPP no long term work was done only essential work was carried out why you think the d refurb kept on beeing put back and one point there was talk about scrapping the project and just waiting for the new trains resignalling also was put back and has hit a brick wall with the whitechapel area as the signalling is life expired between whitechapel and plaistow

Admin comment: Posting the truth is one thing - calling other members names is quite another. I've just locked a Bakerloo line thread - don't let this be the second thread toady....
