Came through Plaistow at around 09:30 today, there was a "C" stock train in the bay road sporting "Neasden" in the destination blind window.
Anyone know why?

Perhaps the driver was in the process of changing the blind to it's actual westbound destination..... (I sometimes had to stop halfway through to double check where I was going prior to the D stocks getting refurbed! ;D ;D)

Or the blind got stuck! Or the driver was pausing half way for a rest - some of those blinds can be very stiff and sometimes you have to turn them a long way; there's something like 30 destinations on them.

To the best of my knowledge, no C stocks were diverted this morning (at least nobody told me they were ;D ) so it must have been one of the explanations above ;D

But C stocks do run to Neasden for the lath, just not in service! I read a post on a site about regular trips to Neasden via Harrow-on-the-Hill. I thought C stock could not reverse in Harrow siding due to the low sole bar fouling platform 5!

But C stocks do run to Neasden for the lath, just not in service! Yes, but not directly from Plaistow! I read a post on a site about regular trips to Neasden via Harrow-on-the-Hill. I thought C stock could not reverse in Harrow siding due to the low sole bar fouling platform 5! Used to is the key part missing here I suspect! I'm sure Solidbond could relate a tale or three.....

Ok thanks. Looking for an excuse to get a 4 car train onto my model railway! Making a note of your profile location, I'll now make sure I don't leave anything reversing in the siding for too long ;D

Normally, they don't wait there too long. 423 sometimes runs empty from Watford to Northwood siding and then back to Ricky!
