I understand that. But I would be very surprised if there was not one birth in a Tube station during WW2 when the stations were being used as air raid shelters. But there is no way that East Finchley would have been used as an air raid shelter.

The source of the number of births on LU is TfL. It is plausible that there mat have been births in tube stations (and Deep Level tubes) while being used as shelters may not be reported to LU, as they may not be involved with the provision of assistance in the same way as if it was on the operational railway.

The only recorded incidence of someone being born on a tube train was at Elephant & Castle in 1924. The girl was later christened Thelsea Ursula Beatrice Eleanor. Had that been me, I may have had to sue my parents for such an embarrassing name.
