C stock - roof colour before refurbishment

A bit of a can of worms, this - nothing was ever standard, or things were changed mid-steam - so here goes:

All C69s were delivered with black roofs.

C77s were silver/white (unit 5701 definitely had a white roof with silver 'domes').

Replacement car 5585 also had a silver roof and trailer 6585 was painted to match.

Unit 5524, the first HO at Acton (9/78) was given a white roof. Unit 5567 (a collision repair) was also given a white roof, ex-Acton 8/1/75.

5719 was also a collision repair and received a black dome (ex-Acton 14/4/83) before refurbishment.

Units 5588 to 5594 inclusive were given white roofs on their first HO at Upminster between 9/87 and 4/88.

Units 5595 to 5605 inclusive were given grey roofs on their first HO at Upminster between 4/88 and 1/89.

Many C69 units were then given grey roofs on (their second) HO which was done at Upminster. The last HO done at Upminster was 5519 (1/93). Ho's in their proper sense on C Stock were then discontinued.

My notes say the following C69s only ever had one HO 'proper' (at Acton) and retained their black roofs until they went for refurb -

5501, 5513, 5522, 5523, 5525, 5532, 5533, 5539, 5543, 5550, 5552, 5553, 5556, 5557, 5558, 5562, 5566, 5569, 5572, 5573, 5575, 5577, 5578, 5580, 5581, 5582, 5583, 5584, 5586, 5587

All C77s retained their original roof colours (silver/white) until they went for refurb, apart from the 'dome' on 5719.

I think that's it - any other observations would be welcome.

P.S. The withdrawn unit 5606-6606 never had any overhaul and went away with its original black roof (albeit not then very 'shiny').
