Question for you good folks:
Can steam trains still be run on the cut & cover sections? I appreciate that there would have to be the right-sized loco, but I was wondering about a) the health & safety logistics and b) the provision for adequate venting, which might not still be around.

Ta! xxAI I think this would cause multiple setting off of station fire detection systems. When Met No.1 was worked to Upminster in the 1990s it was done in 'light steam' only, marshalled between battery locos and after normal close of traffic.

Not only that, several rain forests would have to be destroyed to make all the H&S forms that would no doubt be needed!
