- Finsbury Park Humpback. Nice Pictures! The ones of Finsbury Pk show the very distinctive hump at this part of the station. I think there was a discussion some while ago as towhy the platforms were built this way......Did we come up with a definitive answer? And I read recently that the spiral staircases up to the GNR platrforms were to be "re-doubled" ie:the closed interleaved spiral was to be restored to public use......is this so,and does anyone know when this will be happening?

Excellent set of photos there, reminding me of the many places I worked on the system

If these were all taken on the same day, it must have been a very long day! Lots of the ends of the line in here

Most of them were taken on the Saturday, with the first 14 in the collection from the Friday.
The aim of the trip was to travel over sections of LUL lines I had not yet travelled on. These being:
Central - West of Notting Hill Gate
District - Wimbledon Park - Fulham B'way / Whitechapel - Upminister.
H&C - Edgeware Road - Hammersmith / Whitechapel - Barking.
Northern: Finchley Central - Mill Hill East / Woodside Park - High Barnet and Brent Cross - Edgeware.
Piccadilly: Heathrow 123 - Heathrow 5.
Victoria: Stockwell - Brixton / Finsbury Pk - Walthamstow Central.
Jubilee: Stanmore - Wembley Park.
So with the above mapped out and with Barking - Upminister closed for weekend works the route was as follows:
Friday night:
Wimbledon - Earls Court.
Saturday:
Tottenham Ct Rd - Waterloo - Clapham Common - Stockwell - Brixton - Finsbury Park - Walthamstow Central - Euston - High Barnet - Finchley Central - Mill Hill East - Bus to Golders Green - Golders Green - Edgeware - Bus to Stanmore - Stanmore - Wembley Park - Baker St (on A stock) - Edgeware Road - Hammersmith - Wood Lane - visit Westfield S.C. and get dinner - Shepherd's Bush - Ealing Broadway - FGW Ealing Broadway - Greenford - West Ruislip - Tottenham Court Road.
The only outstanding bits left are the District East of Whitechapel and Heathrow T5 which I didn't have time to do on Sunday as I was running late for the plane.
To answer mjw4849, it was a long day! Left hotel at 0945ish, back at 2115ish.

Heathrow T5 is the only station on the network I'm yet to get to. Just can't justify such a long journey for 1 station when I think I'll probably end up passing through there at some point anyway!

Excellent pictures, I'll have to come back and take a more leisurely look when I have time after the holidays.
