does anybody know of any pictures on the internet or bookwise of pictures of hampstead heath station in the nse/br era before it was remodeld in 1996. from what Iv'e read the platforms were rebuilt and new foot bridges installed but I haven't seen any pictures of it all, was it alot different before its closure? thanks cameron

You could always try the Middleton Press' book - North London Line. It has a few before during and after photo's

Ah the 1950s BR modernisation-era station buildings were destroyed alas. There were elements of similarity with the structures at Gospel Oak, Willesden Junction (HL) and Highbury & Islington.
