Just to say that due to various cable/ pet rat chewing events in angelislington's flat I've started packing up the library here in Wales sooner than expected. All rulebooks, line supplements, yellow perils and all the WTTs pre 1950 have been packed up and are in my huge rucksack - it is about 80% full/60ish litres ready to move across the country when I go to mend AI's flexes. I might not be as able to contribute to answers as fully as I would like until the whole of the library moves 400 miles eastward; my next jaunt south after this (just prior to the Meet) will hopefully have the remainder of the pre-A4 WTTs and TTNs. Normal contributions will resume as soon as practically possible. Conversely, if you see me toting the loaded rucksack across London on the UndergrounD- offer me a pint.

Indeed. It has long been an axiom of mine that the little things are infinitely the most important. A man should keep his little brain attic stocked with all the furniture that he is likely to use, and the rest he can put away in the lumber-room of his library, where he can get it if he wants it. OTOH; I'm not averse to happybunny's fave tipple.

I fear that one or two of us appear to have stumbled through life carrying out these instructions the wrong way around.

*Good news*. After bringing 52 kilogrammes of WTTs &c over the country in my rucksack, I've just had a phone call from some of my tribe of lodgers and they are coming back from Wales to Richmond with an empty estate car. They are very kindly going to bring over the remaining portions of the WTT library [1] to Canterbury and most importantly the A3 scanner. I should be reunited with the rest of the library within about a week. I suppose I'd better buy and put up the rest of the shelves. ;D ;D [1] probably another 100 kilogrammes or so.

Nooooo, noo, you don't understaaaaand, my flat's not big enough! (I'd rather be squashed than have to spend any more days trekking from Kent to N Wales once every 6 weeks for a brief weekend visit, though. )
