We close the month out with a single part question. Today, there is a bonus point up for grabs for working out why this particular location was chosen. *Click for a larger version*

The redesigned station opened one year ago today?

While Brixton station might have reopened in November 2007 (a couple of minutes on google wasn't able to bring up anything definitive), the station isn't Brixton so that's academic. Perhaps this version will be easier for you (click for a larger version)

Indeed, this is above the East Cheap entrance to Monument station, but why did I choose Monument station for the 30th of November?

The actual monument at Monument is (was?) supposed to re-open this December - was Nov 30 (supposed to be) the last day of its refurbishment?

It's not related to the Monument at all.

It's not related to the Monument at all. I would have thought that it was a close enough relative to be joined by an umbilical cord.

While the station and monument may be so, the monument and reason for the link share nothing but proximity to the station.

Maybe I could reconstruct my comment as a question? Would it be wrong to enlarge my field of view slightly beyond the confines of the 'Monument' station? Maybe we should look into this a little deeper?

You do need to think beyond the confines of the Underground, but going deeper will not likely help you very much.
The quiz from the 1st of March and picture D from the 21st of October may be worth revisiting for part of the answer.

Don't you just love it when he gets all cryptic?
30 November is of course St Andrew's Day - patron saint of Scotland, Greece and one or two other places. 1 March is St David's Day, and 21 October featured Caledonian Road, but I don't know what around the Monument is Scottish!
PS - found on a friendly website: "St. Andrew is the patron of Scotland, Russia and Greece, fishermen, spinsters, infertile wives, weddings and sore throats."
Is it anything to do with the proximity of Fishmongers' Hall?

Does it involve Bank or King William Street station?

Does it involve Bank or King William Street station? It would have done if it was today, but I have just realised that we are still on yesterday's question.

Monument is the closest station to Fish Hall, the home of the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers.
