Was a Upminster today and noticed that the buffer stops on platform 6, look like they have been hit by a train, any one know when this happened.
A temporary stop with 2 sleepers and a flashing red lamp have been put in place in of the normal buffer stop.

I noticed it first thing Friday morning, but don't recall seeing any damage earlier in the week........
EDIT: Just found a passing reference on another forum about a buffer collision at Upminster p6 on Thursday 13th.

Was at Upminster station today, noticed the bent buffers still not been repaired.

Was at Upminster station today, noticed the bent buffers still not been repaired. I'm assuming NR has to arrange a possession with LU to keep platform 5 clear to complete the work.

when they have the east end shut downs that service to romford does not run why dont they do it then?
