A quick reminder that we are still looking for the inset from yesterday to be identified. Today, another single part question with a bonus point up for grabs. Identify the location, and why it was chosen for today. *Click for a larger version*

If it is Northwood Hills, the only link i can thing of (and it's non railway related) is that Elton John used to play in the pub opposite, conveniently called the Northwood Hills. Both pub and station are on Joel Street, and Elton & Billy Joel have just announced they are going on tour together!

Mmm! Looks like the sucs.org server is down so no image! Yes, the machine that serves as the gateway between SUCS and outside world fell over for reasons best known to itself at about 02:20 and was fixed at about 09:40.

Would it be as easy as the station opened on the 13th November.. And wouldn't today be the 75th anniversary of its opening (i.e. Northwood Hills)?

Yep, you've got it between you! It's Northwood Hills - behind southbound platform, chosen because the station opened on 13/11/1933...
