Have just been looking over the latest (well October) diagram with a similarly minded neighbour and we have noticed something that I don't think anyone else has picked up on yet:
Where's the gaps gone?
Not the shouty man's gap, but the DLR and Overground's. The DLR and Overground were formerly drawn as two parallel lines, but the current diagram has them as solid lines.
Prize for the first one to 'Find the Gap'!

See also this thread about the October map's myriad mistakes.

The pocket maps are cut from a large sheet of multiple images so, if just one of these has an error, they will still be dispatched together as the "same" batch and issue, thus making withdrawl of the odd incorrect ones difficult.

Do I get to drive? It'll be no fun if I don't get to drive.

I used to work at a printers who printed the tube maps. (well we only ever saw one order) They are printed on sheetfed Litho Press, and the the maps are not printed on one big bit then cut down. They are printed on paper which is slightly bigger than the map (5mm gap on all edges, these hold the registration marks) Then as they come off the press a worker will line a bunch of them up in a stack and cut them on a guilotine press. Then loaded into a cartridge of a paper folding machine they get folded. Litho is a lot harder to spot out of register or any sort of errors during on press as altho it doesnt work as fast as a Flexo press but its a lot more higher quality and involves a lot more work done to get it right. Every now and then the press operator will make a 'pull sheet' and check the quality so it is possible for to get a rubbish print inbetween checks.. Questions welcome

A discount on a free trip? huh?
Or you mean on the driving? If so, no, 'cos we don't allow hi-vis except for track workers. If you wanna know why ask mrfs42, he wrote the regulations!
