I saw 508.302 yesterday at about 09.45 in Willesden Junction bay - alive but not very well. Hi-vi's crawling over it and looking underneath.

Monday to Wednesday last week operating to a Saturday timetable due to lack of units. Then they cancelled the train that makes the last Shrewsbury connection out of Chester (well for cancelled, read didn't send it round the loop - where I happened to be). So more Miseryrail units would be good.

Pleased to say the restoration of BEA coach MLL738 is as complete as it can be, now restoring MLL721

508's going? Good, about time too. these units made me lose faith in BR to design a train which stopped where the driver wanted it to. I could write a book on the trials and tribulations of the 508's. I doubt if this website would have enough capacity.
Good riddance to them. They should have been scrapped the day they were built.

Just 9 & 10 as far as I know, not sure about the middle sidings because I havnt gone in there yet. Can only take routes B or C going in/out without a pan, anything else you'll need to pan up (if you're in a 313)

Platforms 9 & 10 have third rail, but normally Overground only uses platform 10.

I was on 507 303 yesterday on the DC service to Watford. I enjoyed the journey. The little hum of the fans as the unit kicks into life is something I like about these trains. Do these 508/313 trains use AWS, because as we (mostly) entered a station a little bell rang in the cab?

Yeah, if they're on Network rail lines they'll have AWS... The bell indicates a Green signal, a yellow or red signal would sound a horn.

Maybe it has changed recently then. I haven't been to Euston for a while. They always used to use 10.

Platform 9 since May 2008 timetable though platform 10 is generally used by LM services but available as a contingency.
