Hiya Are any of the District T/ops gonna be speeding ( ) up and down the line on the 29th Jan? I'm going up to London on that day, and just wondered, is all. Admins/Mods, if this thread could be classed as conveying confidential info, then please lock it

I think you'll find that if it's confidential and LUL staff don't mind you knowing - you'll be informed via PM As for myself - providing one of my colleauges can help me out with a change of rest day - I'll be well away from London with a fishing rod in my hand

Am I the only one who doesn't understand the significance of this in the slightest?

I'm guessing that if he knows one of the T/ops on this forum is going to be driving when he's about he'll arrange to meet up with them for a hello and a quick chat.
Whenever I travel on the DR I always have a look to see if I recognise the chap up front so I can say hello. Never happened yet though.

Am I the only one who doesn't understand the significance of this in the slightest? Probably ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D When the younger members come up to town they like to take the chance to actually meet the forum t/ops in person and have a chinwag if the t/op doesn't mind. So I assume Joe was hoping, in his day out, to get to meet DD, or Solidbond or Alan or....{ insert T/op name as appropriate}........ somewhere in the course of their duties

Am I the only one who doesn't understand the significance of this in the slightest? Oh you're talking about the thread. I thought you were referring to the activity Colin will be doing on the 29th - in which case I would have said I couldn't see the point in it either ;D

Perhaps all the ops on the board should put a sign in their cab windows, something like "WE BRAKE FOR CAKE" or whatnot. Better than seeing a copy of the mirror rammed down in front of the desk anyway.

Who said that?!! ;D
To get back on topic, I will be down the bluebell on the 29th assisting with the replacement of a set of points, so I'm not at work i'm afraid.

Is ANY T/OP at work on the 29th? Seems from this forum they'll all be elsewhere so Joe will have to walk....

nope! I'm on A/L on 29th. Profuse apologies to those hoping to see me in person. Of course, if I plan a jaunt around parts that others can reach, I'll post a message - anyone thus interested in joining me for a mystery tour, will be welcome to tag along wherever they choose.

A/L? - Annual leave?? The odds are that I'll be touring the Green line for a good part of the day. Then the Jubbly - which had better not go up the wall this time!

Yup, Annual Leave [A/L] graces me again from Friday 27th. I'll probably just chill for the first few days. Might go and explore the Met Main on 30th, we'll see how things pan out...

On an unrelated point, my goal is to get to all 275 stations (or 274, with HT4 out of action) before the year's out. Anyone wanna call me crazy? *waits for responses* (My family already do )

''mediocre crazy'' i like the sound of that. And i'm eventually planning to do the whole challenge....one day. But first's the District one!
