Ickenham on the 75th anniversary of the day it was first served by the Piccadilly Line. Nearly dozens of Piccadilly Line services have called there since

That looks like the right sort of uninspired featureless 70's building* to be Ickenham, is it 30 years since the old Halt structures were replaced?
* Bromley-by-Bow is of similarly dull design

Good old Ickenham, looking up from the car park to the side enterance, which customers may use as a direct route to the sussex estate at their own risk. I would love to know how Ickenham and Hillingdon fared towards the end of their lives with an increasing number of school students passing through! Apparently Ickenhams rebuild spec. was quite high, Ive heard this from a couple of people now, but as yet no corroborating evidence. Story goes it was rebuilt in preparation for a District Line extension via Castle Bar. If anyone has any drawings or plans relating to this PM me; Ive a certain affinity for the UXB branch!

Frankly the whole area from the car park onwards is dodgy, but I think its because there isnt a pedestrian path through it.
I'd love to see what it looked like just before the rebuild!

I thought the passageways at Ickenham between the street and platforms were part of the building.
