www.chrishodgephotos.co.uk/pixcma/abd462.jpgA pal asked me where this is? The AEC was on test from Southall, and you can see The Red Lion behind...but although similar it's not the one at Hanwell on Boston Manor Road. I thought it looked like Hanwell Broadwway to me but it can't be..any ideas please?

If the picture is as old as it looks,if it was Hanwell Broadway, wouldn't there be trolleybus wires?

Good point. The Red Lion at hanwell is actually round the corner from The Broadway. I can see an electricity pylon in the background on my copy. I did wonder if it was Greenford but really have no idea. There is no visible street name. I would suggest it dates to about 1958..note the Morris J-type van behind.

Don't think its Greenford, if it helps. Wasnt there a 'red lion' somewhere in West Drayton?

Not Hanwell or Greenford, how about Brentford Half Acre?

Not Brentford...no gigantic wall on the right with the North Thames Gasworks and trolleybus wires. I queried if it was Greenford Broadway of Southall Broadway?

Sorry but that really doesn't look like southall at all despite there being a red lion.
Something makes me feel like saying maybe acton but then again it isn't somewhere where one would see a pylon
