I reckon it's Vauxhall.
The only other place I've in mind is Stockwell.

I think it is taken from one platform looking towards another platform - you can see a trackside roundel covered over in the hyoooge version.
That puts me in mind of two places, Seven Sisters (plats 3/Northbound and 4/Bay) or Finsbury Park.
I think this is Finsbury Park, looking from the Westbound Picc (pfm 4) to the Southbound Vic (pfm 3)

Certainly a Victoria line station. I think those dark grey tiles in the cross-passage were only used on the later southern Vic stations. The northernmost stations had pale colours, and I think they were all replaced about 15 years ago with large white tiles.
I think it's got to be south of Victoria - Pimlico, Stockwell (possibly looking towards a Northern line platform) or Vauxhall?

I seem to remember the interconnections quite wide at Brixton so I'll just go for that.

It does look a touch like Brixton but i'm still saying Euston. Definately Victoria Line.

I said Vauxhall earlier and I've some more evidence in support of it... If you look at the big photo (uncompressed) then on the empty (unilluminated) backlit CBS advertisement frame you can see the reflection of a door replete with warning signs on it (secret emergency exit from the Vauxhall Cross 'government office building', nudge nude wink wink say no more *). On the left of that you can see the reflection of one of the line diagram panel signs for the Victoria line Northbound (the text is obviously back to front coz it's a mirror image), there's also a blue early closures sticker on the bottom of the panel. I reckon that the line diagram features 13 stations ending in a long one which is Walthamstow Central, which would indeed make this station Vauxhall. ----- * I'm somewhat disappointed to note that Streetmap's mapping has now dispensed with this convention of labelling the HQs of MI5 and MI6 as 'government offices' - Vauxhall Cross is now labelled as the "Secret Intelligence Service", and downriver next to Lambeth Bridge on the north the once anonymous "Thames House" has become "MI5 Thames House". Of course, Keybridge House down on South Lambeth Road is where the really interesting stuff goes on...

Very observant, Mizter T! I had a good look at the picture, but didn't notice the line diagram.
PS You do of course realise that by mentioning Keybridge House you will be under constant surveillance and subject to detention for security reasons... ;-)

Very observant, Mizter T! I had a good look at the picture, but didn't notice the line diagram. Neither did I when setting the question, otherwise it probably wouldn't have been visible! The unmodified version is below: (click for a larger version)

I used to work in Cork Street from the early 1970s a few doors away from an unpretentious building that had a MoD police officer outside when open, plus regular visits from a datkish green Leyland Sherpa van or similar with MoD plates, on a paperwork run. After the MoD moved out it was suddenly plastered witn scaffolding and then film lights, etc. When TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY came out, I could see that they had hired the old building for the office scenes! It was very 'Harry Palmer' inside I thought. Of course everyone and the world knew whom the tenants were. I assume that it was an offshoot of the MI6 HQ building in Mayfair that even the taxi drivers delighted in pointing out to tourists.

You mean MI5 MOD plods looked after their buildings which were scattered around London. MI6 had others on the door.
