Looks like something detrimental happens to the service everyday now.

I was routed on a Wimbledon train this morning so I wasn't directly affected, but West Kensington had a signal failure eastbound and the service by the time they realized it was running up-to an hour late eastbound. Usual story of late meal reliefs etc It seems to happen everyday now, and theres seems to be no vision on getting the service back to time, just run everything late and hope the late running disappears. anyway I think thats all that happened.

Greetings
Tuesdays signal failure at West Kensington resulted in some rather unusual workings, the nature of the problem (defective signalling block joint) led to a suspension of service while it was fixed. during this time, The District Line operated an Ealing Bway to Hammersmith Shuttle, using the Fast (Piccadilly) Lines to/from Acton Town, and reversing in the centre siding at Hammersmith/Barons Ct.
Hope Thats Of Interest.

Woah...I guess I'm showing my trainspotting enthusiams here!
In order to access the siding at Hammersmith, the Districts would have had to run via the EB and WB fast Picc lines between Acton Town and Hammersmith, as has been pointed out.
As a result, the District shuttle would not have been able to serve Chiswick Park (EB and WB), and Stamford Brook EB, as there are no platforms for the fast lines. I'd be interested to hear whether the shuttle worked out fine, and if some Piccs were diverted on the local lines to serve these stations.
