Was on the W&C earlier (thought I should ride it once more before I move away from London) and was sorely tempted to write Clean Me on the side of the Bank End of the unit I was on. It was filthy!
Consdiering it's the city types with all the money who ride on the W&C, shouldn't TfL at least make an effort to keep the trains tidy - and it's not even a whole train just the bank end car. I red that the washer wasn't working earlier in the year, so if that's the problem what's wrong with a brush and soapy water!
Just thinking because if that's what we're like now - not seeming to care about image then things have surely got to improve in the next 4 years!

There is a new wash being commissioned soon at Waterloo depot, allowing fours cars to pass through (information from next weeks traffic circular) - without knowing the area personally, I would suspect the old wash (which could only wash 2 cars at a time I believe) has either gone or is not being used at the moment.

What? You want to get from Waterloo to City and you want a clean train? Think yourself lucky that TfL don't make you walk along the tunnel.

Surely us people at lu/tfl/metronet should be aiming to work to give the best to ALL of our customers irrespective of socio-ecconomic staus? My job involves the signalling of traines on the Amersham branch but as i have mentioned to other parties at work i come in to do the job to the best of ability but that stops well short of pandering to please small groups of people. Good god whatever next? Staff at certain stations tipping thier (now no longer required) hats to certain customers? Perhaps running into carriages to wipe down the dust and grime from seats? Sorry to rant but you will be glad it's now over
