Why does the sand-drag now resemble a solid block of clay-coloured concrete?!
Is it a new material? or just the sand with a hard outer casing?

It looks to me like it's pure sand, just carefully crafted for some reason best known to it's creator ;D ;D The whole thing has obviously just been re-done, with new ballast underneath etc....

Hmmm, assuming it *is* sand, when it dries, won't it slump out over the running line?

The Sand Drag at Putney Bridge has also been sculpted like this, but there is a nice few boot prints in it however.

Somebody has now also walked over the sand at Tower Hill dislodging some sand and spoiling the sculptured shape.
