Now now, Senior Picc Driver... We people on the big green line always wave at the little blue line, if only out of symapthy! ;D
Seriously, I always wave, and usually always get a wave back. I'm sure Dave will confirm he got some lovely waves from you Picc boys when he invaded your land! ;D

I've actually seen a Picc T/op with a long white beard, he was just wearing a blue t-shirt though.

Ah, but not all of you were so happy. On a photo I have, i've got a D78 arriving at Blackfriars. The poor T/Op looks bored as f**k. He's leaning forward, left elbow resting on summat, hand deforming his face. Quite a young chap on the handle; photo is dated 14th April 1998, eastbound train 036. Taken around 14.20 hrs.

Got to admit - I like to see the looks on Picc driver's faces when a D stock beats them to Acton even with stopping are 4 or so more stations.

It seemed to involve a kind of clenched fist going vertically up and down. I can't possibly imagine what that was supposed to be. I thought maybe it was some sort of Picc Masonic wave..........

I got 4 waves and 3 smiles from various drivers on the green line today , nearly fell off me seat with the shock of it Sitting in a control room all shift, watching the front of the green trains for numbers (as we don't tend to get them from the correct information source ) the majority of them look very miserable. Probably the thought of entering the Aldgate area. I reckon you saw the few drivers from here (who do smile and wave - if only to get a quick run through Aldgate ) plus a couple of the "odd" train ops we occasionally see. The ones who have begun to lose it slightly ;D

Just because I always give you a nice wave or bow or something (sometimes to the amusement of trains coming the other way)... Of course if you're referring to 'losing it' as in hair, then you certainly are talking about me! I had a full head of hair when I joined LU! ;D

I don't want to know, but I obviously wasn't watching that day ;D As for losing it, I too am beginning ot show signs of both a lightening and thinning here and there (and at just 22 years of age as well ) Hmmmmmm.... I wonder how fast citysig'll get rid of me if I blow him a kiss??? I'll try it when I'm back next week and, as I've a new trainee, I think I'll tell him it's a Line Standard roflmao!!! Next week, as I'm on the dreaded night shift, I doubt even blowing me a kiss will cheer me into clearing OB31 ;D

Citysig... I'm just debating whether or not your latest signature is specially designed to try and wind us green line drivers up! ;D Dave, it should definitely be taught as a 'line courtesy' that waving at Baker Street is done every trip! ;D

Citysig... I'm just debating whether or not your latest signature is specially designed to try and wind us green line drivers up! ;D It was just something that came to me a few days back, whilst working the Aldgate area. I turned my back and, whoops, a circle stole the route. It was a shift just prior to some time off and, happy as you are at those times, I just chuckled to myself. There are a couple of other things we actually get paid to do (or not do) as I'm sure is true of your grade - but I won't go into details. That particular one just seemed apt for this site ;D P.S. I'll change it if it's upsetting anyone I have plenty of jubilee line ones ;D

I am fast approaching the end of my 10th week of no smoking. I am nearing the end of my course of patches. I have gained over a stone in weight (which can wait until New Year now) so bitch all you want ;D ;D
(but I am on nights, so be gentle with me ;D )

Aah citysig, it's all about the comfort food. Well done sir.

I didn't just comfort eat. I basically took the approach of "eat and drink whatever I like, as long as I don't smoke." I knew I would gain a few pounds. But thee wife being pregnant with our second doesn't help. Last time I had a "sympathetic pregnancy." This time I'm carrying more out front than she is ;D
I needed to lose weight even before giving up the ciggies, so hope to achieve that next year. Our baby won't recognise me ;D

I am fast approaching the end of my 10th week of no smoking. Well done, I wish could last that long - ten minutes without a 'fag', and I start getting ratty!! ;D I did say as long as you don't puff, I won't bitch 'bout circles - i'm pleased to stick with that. For now ;D

Working on the Central line, you only see the drivers on the District line at Mile End or Ealing Broadway. I find many District Line drivers are friendly and some turn their heads of not wanting to know. (No different from other lines) We are a funny old bunch when you think about it. Why do we switch off our cab light when another train is approaching? We all do it.

Why do we switch off our cab light when another train is approaching? We all do it. I don't! ;D My light is on almost all the time! The only time I switch it off is up the east end open sections, as I don't want to be highlighted for the kids to aim at! By the way Rob, I always wave at the Central line drivers at MIE or Ealing and even smoke with the Central drivers at Ealing Broadway!
