As per rule 5b, ( click here) 'Text speak' isn't allowed on the forum, so abbreviations like "C U L8R", "b4", "M8", etc are out. We do however support 'chat speak' - this originally comes from internet chat rooms so its use is natural here. 'Chat speak' abbreviates a group of words by using the first letter of each word. Have a look through our most commonly used examples below, and you'll soon get the hang of it: AFAIC | as far as I'm concerned | AFAIK | as far as I know | AIUI | as I understand it | BRB | be right back | BTW | by the way | FWIW | for what it's worth | GTG | got to go | IIRC | if I recall/remember correctly | IME | in my experience | IMO | in my opinion | IMHO | in my humble opinion | IMU | it's my understanding | LOL | laughing out loud | ROFLOL | rolling on floor laughing out loud | ROFLMAO | rolling on floor laughing my rear off | SWMBO | she who must be obeyed | WYSIWYG | what you see is what you get |
