I suppose I should have put this in the rant area but I'm sorry I had to mention it here - What on earth has happened to the District line service over the last three days it has totally gone from bad to worse, it seems that whatever could have happened has happened ten fold, if it isn't broken rails its radio defects, if its not fires at Tower Hill its trains loosing pilot lights and the list goes on. just goes to show I suppose a bit of cold weather and everything comes grinding to a halt, and we still have the rest of the week to go

And it's not been helped lately by the controllers doing little to get the service back right time. Today I picked up my train 25 minutes late. It was only thanks to some quick turn arounds on my part at Tower Hill and Ealing Broadway (and a bit of signalman bashing!), that I finished just about on time - much to the displeasure of AlanL ;D ;D ;D

I suppose I should have put this in the rant area but I'm sorry I had to mention it here - Very much NOT a rant - that's exactly what DD set up the forum for: staff to let off about the inadequacies of the system they attempt to operate!!

Well, I got to Upminster 10 mins late on train 41, just about able to get it out on time with a quick turnaround... they reformed it into trian 40! Then I had to make 42 into 41, so guaranteeing I was 10 mintues late... Arrrrrrrgh! Managed to make it to Richmond on time by some very rapid driving

And all sorts of fun Whitechapel-Aldgate East because of problems with the train radios.

We did have a slight hiccup earlier this evening with the Richmond road blocked by something for a while, but nothing major for a change! ;D
I had one of those duties which has ECT - Barking - Wimbledon - HSK - Ealing - Depot on the second half, so I was hoping for something to go wrong to get those wonderful words "Straight to Ealing driver" on the way back from Barking, but it didn't happen!

One of those things Alan if it runs ok we don't get out of anything, if it's running late we sometimes get turned depends on the controllers - then there's the extreme that if it runs too late then they try and run it out, never a good idea.
